Community Calendar – Week of March 11, 2021

Hope for Addiction meetings are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane.

There will be a virtual book club with author Ron Rash at 6 p.m. This event is hosted by the Putnam County Library and the Clay Center.

MARCH 12 – 14
Lynn Hiles will be speaking at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday at Grace Life Church, 93 Joy Lane, Culloden.

The Just in Time Food Pantry will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hometown Senior Center. Boxes will include Cheese, Milk, Yogurt, Hot Dogs and other items.

The Women’s Club of Dunbar will be hosting an Easter Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the club, located at 323 14th Street, Dunbar.

The Jay Humphreys Trio will be performing at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1405 W Main Street, Milton.

The New Parent Pre-Sale will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

Dunbar Church of the Nazarene, 1334 Lightner Avenue, Dunbar, will be holding a spring bazaar and hot dog sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Creative Isolation – Art Inside the Walls will be held at The Garage, 3057 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane, at 4 p.m. Cajun fish boil and juried art exhibit. Pre-sale tickets will be $22, $25 at the event. For more information, call (304) 545-0455.
There will be a hands on mobility screening and assessment from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Revved Up Crossfit, 3910 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. The cost is $25.
Ferrell Automotive, 501 Midland Trail, Hurricane, will be holding a free basic vehicle maintenance class at 2 p.m.
There will be a dry water practice for people who are planning on competing in Portuguese Water Dog Water Trials in the future at noon at Endless Pawsabilities, LLC, 3572 Hurricane Creek Road, Hurricane. The cost is $10 per dog. For more information, call (304) 586-6013.
