Hope for Addiction meetings are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane.

SATURDAYS UNTIL OCTOBER
The Putnam County Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park, Hurricane.

NOW – JUNE 12
The annual carnival at the Hurricane High School will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. each evening.

JUNE 11
Break the Seal will be performing from 8 a.m. to midnight at Riverside Cafe in Winfield.

The Putnam Chamber Annual Dinner & Celebration will be held at Valley Park in Hurricane at 6 p.m.
The Hurricane First Church of God will be holding their monthly Second Friday Gospel Concert on Friday, June 11, at 7 p.m. The church is located at 3225 East Putnam Avenue, one block north of the former Rite-Aid store.

JUNE 12 – 13

The Putnam County Democratic Women’s Club will be holding their annual picnic at noon at Valley Park (Wave Pool) Shelter #1 Hurricane. Box lunch is $13.00. RSVP by calling 304-727-1509.
Putnam County Grad Night will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Wave Pool in Hurricane. Entry is $10 per person. There will be a live DJ, prizes, games, food, and a showing of “The Meg” on the big screen.
There will be a yard sale and hot dog sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Church, 212 Dudding Avenue, Hurricane.

There will be a tent revival at Sycamore Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 5839 Sycamore Road, Hurricane.

JUNE 13 – 16
The 35th West Virginia Jubilee will be held at Teays Valley Baptist Church, 3926 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday; 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday; 10 a.m. to noon and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday; and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

JUNE 14 – 18
The Buffalo Church of the Nazarene will be holding VBS from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. The theme is “Cruising Through the Bible.”
Camp VP (Valley Park) will cover Art, Science, Engineering, Physical Education, Nature and Agricultural activities, all completely outdoors, at Valley Park in Hurricane from 10 a.m. to noon. Rock Doc Joe Norris will be discussing rocks and gems at 10 a.m. at the Buffalo Library.

Valley Park’s Night Market and Movie Night will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursdays in June and July at Valley Park in Hurricane.

JUNE 18
The Nitro Riverfest will start at 8:30 p.m. at the Nitro City Park, 1600 Park Ave, Nitro.
Team trivia night will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Wave Pool at Valley Park, Hurricane. The cost is $10 per person to attend.
Storyteller Bill Lepp will be at the Valley Park in Hurricane at 7 p.m.

JUNE 19

The WV Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) will be hosting Pops on the Water, a free concert to be held at 2:00 p.m. at Haddad Riverfront Park.
There will be a cruise-in at the Sweet Buy and Bye Shoppe, Route 62, Buffalo, from 2 to 5 p.m.
