Hope for Addiction meetings are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane.

FRIDAYS DURING SUMMER
Food Truck Friday is held every Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SATURDAYS UNTIL OCTOBER
The Putnam County Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park, Hurricane.

SUNDAYS DURING SUMMER
Thankful Valley Farms will be giving away fresh produce every Sunday this summer from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Stokes Grocery in Buffalo.

AUGUST 27 – 28

The Cupcake Classic Cruise-in will be held at Valley Park from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Pupcake Pageant for dogs will be held as part of the Cupcake Festival at 7 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. It costs $10 to enter. Entry forms can be found on our website at www.wvcupcakefestival.com

AUGUST 28 – 29
Teays Valley Baptist Church will be holding its homecoming at 7 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 29.

AUGUST 29
There will be a cruise-in from 1 to 4 p.m. at O’Rielly Auto Parts, 101 Roosevelt Blvd., Eleanor.
The Winfield United Methodist Church, 20 Radwin Drive, will be holding a Sunday Sundae Social at 12:15 p.m. following the 11 a.m. service.
There will be stand up paddleboard lessons from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hurricane Resrvoir and 4 to 6 p.m. at the Winfield boat launch. The cost is $25 for one session or $40 for both sessions. Text 304-610-8999 to make your reservation.

STARTING AUGUST 30

The Mothers of Preschoolers will hold an open house at 6 p.m. at River Ridge Church, Saturn Way, Hurricane.

The City of Nitro’s annual Fireworks Show will take place at City Park. The show will begin at dark (9:15 p.m.).
River Ridge Church, 1 Saturn Way, Hurricane, will be hosting Global Missions Night of Prayer at 6 p.m.

Teays Valley Baptist Church, Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be hosting AWANA Kick-Off Extravaganza from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Bible Lessons, Inflatables, Video Game Trailer, Euro Bungee, & More!

The Tri-State Exotic Animal Expo will start at 10 a.m. at the India Center, 800 Green Road, South Charleston. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

The Cops-N-Rodders Classic Car Club will be holding a cruise-in from 5 p.m. until dusk at the Putnam County Bank parking lot in Hurricane.
