MONDAYS THROUGH NOVEMBER 1
The Ultimate Frisbee League will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. League costs are 25$ per player for the season. For more information, call (304) 562-0518.

The Haunted Majestic, a floating seasonal haunted attraction, will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Haunted Majestic is located at Majestic Landing just north of Robert Newlon Airport at the end of Kyle Lane, off WV Route 2 five miles north of Huntington. There will be a yard sale starting at 8 a.m., rain or shine, at the Buffalo Church of God, Route 62 and Church Street.

OCTOBER 1, 8, 15
The So-Kai Open Air Academy will be held at Shelter #1 at Valley Park in Hurricane at 11 a.m. on Fridays. Ages 3-10. Admission is $75; $35 per sibling. To register, go to sokaiclubhouse.com.

OCTOBER 2
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Annual Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Department, 236 Courthouse Drive, Winfield.
The Hurricane High School Show Choirs will be presenting a fundraising Murder Mystery Dinner Party called “CLUELESS!” performed by Murder and Merriment at Hurricane High School. Tickets are $40 and can be reserved at www.hurricaneshowchoirs.com. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The City of Hurricane will be hosting the annual harvest festival from 1 to 6 p.m at Valley Park. Pumpkin pie eating contest is at 3 p.m.
There will be a clothing giveaway from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2440 US Route 60, Hurricane.

OCTOBER 3
The 2021 West Virginia Pumpkin Festival Grand Parade will start at 2 p.m. in Milton.
There will be a ladies’ fall craft class from 3 to 5 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. The cost is $10. Choose one craft or several.
Ariel’s Fund-A-Full Fair will be held at noon on Main Street, Hurricane. This event is a fundraiser for a special girl to help with her medical expenses.

OCTOBER 6

The Pumpkin Festival will be held in Milton.

OCTOBER 7
There will be a workshop entitled “Five Wishes: Advance Care Planning” at 6 p.m. at the Bancroft Town Park. Planning for health care in the future is an important step toward making sure you get the medical care you would want.

OCTOBER 8-9; 15-16; 22-23; 29-30
The Barboursville Haunted Trail will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. The tour starts near the Skate Park at the Dead End of Central Avenue. Tickets are $6.

OCTOBER 8 – 10
Tsubasacon, West Virginia’s Premiere Anime, Manga, and Gaming convention will be held at the Charleston Colosseum in Charleston. For more information and a schedule of events, go to www.Tsubasacon.org

The Putnam County Recycle Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse in Winfield.
