Community Calendar For Week of November 25

MONDAY – FRIDAY THROUGH CHRISTMAS
A Christmas Village Model Train Layout is open to the public from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Bailey Hardwoods located at 10802 Winfield Road, Winfield. For reservations for large groups, call 304-936-1348.

NOVEMBER 26 – 28
The 63rd Annual Model Railroad Show will be held at the Huntington Civic Center. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Adults are $6; children under 12, $1.

NOVEMBER 26
So-Kai Kidz Clubhouse will be hosting Art for All at 11 a.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. Fun for all ages. Tickets are $10.

NOVEMBER 27 – DECEMBER 4
Yuletide in the Park will be held at Valley Park in Hurricane. Vendor event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 27. Tree lighting on Dec. 3.

NOVEMBER 27
Get Hooked fishing store, 12210 Winfield Road, Winfield, will be hosting Small Business Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be a Small Business Saturday event at Valley Park in Hurricane from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be cupcake decorating with the Grinch at Valley Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Drip’s Cafe on Main Street, Hurricane, will be holding Shop Small Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Four local authors, Tony Harrah, Sarah Cobb, Elizabeth Giertz and Laura Boggess, will stop in for readings. Live music and more.

NOVEMBER 29
There will be a Christmas wreath making class from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Commons Marketplace at Valley Park in Hurricane. The cost is $20. To purchase tickets, go to putnam-county-parks.ticketleap.com/wreath-making

There will be a parent/child craft night at Valley Park in Hurricane from 6 to 8 p.m.

DECEMBER 1
The West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council will meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on ZOOM. For more information, call (304) 766-4624.
There will be a gingerbread house making party from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

DECEMBER 2
St. Albans On Purpose Project will be holding Community Conversation: Music, Crafts, and Cocoa from 5 to 8 p.m. at Coal River Coffee Company, 64 Olde Main Plaza, St. Albans. Lane Cohen will be performing at 5 p.m. Crafts start at 6 p.m.

Word of Light Community Church will be conducting a live Nativity at Valley Park in Hurricane from 6 to 9 p.m.

There will be a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Valley Park in Hurricane from 6 to 8 p.m.

DECEMBER 4
Buffalo United Methodist Women’s Society will have a Church Bazaar from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. The ladies will also be serving a Spaghetti Dinner. Tickets for Adults are $7 and Kids are $5. Call or text 304-932-3147 to place your order.

The Grand Yuletide Celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane as part of Yuletide in the Park.

The West Virginia State Farm Museum will display two-million lights this year to celebrate the Christmas season from 6-9 p.m. each evening. The museum is located just north of Point Pleasant.
