The new Bills Creek Bridge opened to traffic on Thursday, December 2. The new bridge is part of Phase I of the I-64 upgrade project to widen to 6-lanes between Cross Lanes and the Scott Depot U.S. 35 exchange.

Construction of Phase I includes the reconstruction of the St. Albans I-64 interchange and the initial stages of a new I-64 bridge over the Kanawha River.
