Putnam Grand Jury Indicts 36 Individuals

Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney, Mark A. Sorsaia, reports that indictments were returned by the July 2022 Term Putnam County Grand Jury alleging thirty-six (36) persons committed sixty (60) felonies and thirty-five (35) misdemeanors. The following is the defendant’s year of birth, last known address, and offenses for which they were indicted.

Pamela G. Adkins (1966) of Eleanor – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Katrina E. Artie (1988) of 29 Sable Point Drive, Hurricane – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (2)

Alexandria L. Baldwin (1994) of Huntington – grand larceny

Jason A. Bennett (1983) of 59 Spooner Street, Nitro – distribution, exhibition, or possession of material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct

Justin A. Boggs (1992) of 141 Lonesome Cedar, Hurricane – child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, child neglect resulting in serious bodily injury, and domestic battery

Crystal Burdette (1980) of Charleston – wanton endangerment and domestic assault

David E. Burgess, Jr. (1986) of 13 Hapi Day Park Road, Winfield – grand larceny and breaking and entering automobile

Eric S. Call (1984) of 1449 Custer Ridge Road, Buffalo – felon in possession of firearm, driving on a revoked license-dui related, third offense, driving in an impaired state, driving a motor vehicle without proper equipment, driving a motor vehicle without the required security, improper use of a registration plate and driving a motor vehicle without a current and valid certificate of inspection

Brandon F. Carpenter (1990) of Route 2, Box 200, Red House – fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer in reckless indifference to the safety of others and driving on a revoked license-dui related, third offense.

Logan A. Carter (2001) of 606 6th Avenue North, Hometown – driving in an impaired state causing bodily injury, malicious assault of an emergency services personnel and destruction of property

Jerry P. Cunningham (1989) of 110 Blue Lick Road, Winfield – driving on a revoked license-dui related third offense

Robert Dwight Dixon (1983) of Charleston – Kidnapping, wanton endangerment (2), domestic assault and obstructing an officer

Rakeen Edwards (1990) of 11651 Winfield Road, Winfield – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Martez A. Hall (1990) of Detroit, Michigan – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (4) and child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury

Cody L. Hintermeister (1994) of Sanford, Michigan – speeding, driving a motor vehicle without a current and valid registration, driving a motor vehicle without the required security, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

David K. Howell, II (1978) of 1102 Fieldcrest Drive, Hurricane – domestic battery, domestic assault, unlawful assault, and wanton endangerment

Cory R. Means (1992) of Milton – receive or transfer a stolen vehicle and driving in an impaired state

Caleb W. Moore (1988) of St. Albans – breaking and entering and petit larceny

Catherine M. Moore (1981) of Charleston – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

Christopher P. Myers (1992) of St. Albans – harassment (2) and violation of a protective order (2)

Ricardo Nunez (1979) of St. Albans – driving on a revoked license-dui related, third offense ad driving a motor vehicle without a current and valid certificate of inspection

Anthony C. Roberts (1980) of 718 Manilla Creek Road, Poca – person prohibited from possessing a firearm and shooting a firearm within five hundred feet of a dwelling house

George H. Ruff (1989) of Wheeling – attempt to commit burglary

Kenneth R. Rutledge, Jr. (1991) of 101 River Street, Poca – wanton endangerment and domestic assault

Rachel Sexton (1980) of 16 Cordoba Drive, Hurricane – strangulation, domestic battery (3), obstructing an officer

Beau M. Soliben (1997) of Cross Lanes – fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer with reckless indifference to the safety of others, driving without a valid drivers license, and possession of a controlled substance (2)

Jamie A. Stevens (1973) of Dunbar – driving in an impaired state, third offense and driving on a revoked license-dui related, third offense

Dakota S. Taylor (2001) of Charleston – fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer in reckless indifference to the safety of others and child neglect creating risk

Glen Thornton (1963) of 97 Hammermill Road, Nitro – breaking and entering a building other than a dwelling, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, and petit larceny

Brandon S. Tulloh (1980) of 400 Country Cove Estates, Scott Depot – fraudulent insurance act (3)

Dewhyte M. Washington (1993) of 819 First Avenue South, Nitro – possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (2) and receiving stolen property

Tony R. Whitt, Jr. (1995) of 195 Coon Creek, Culloden – fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer in reckless indifference to the safety of others, fleeing in a vehicle from a law enforcement officer while under the influence of a controlled substance, fleeing from a law enforcement officer by means other than the use of a vehicle, and driving in an impaired state

Further, pursuant to Rule 3.6(b)(6) of the West Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct governing attorneys, the fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime, is merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
