Community Calendar for Week of July 28

MONDAYS THROUGHOUT SUMMER
Community Autism Resources and Education Systems hosts a summer social group from 10 a.m. to noon at the Valley Park playground.
There are Zumba classes at 5:30 p.m. at the Commons at Valley Park in Hurricane.

FRIDAYS THROUGHOUT SUMMER
Food Truck Friday will be held on Main Street, Hurricane, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER
The Putnam Farmers Market operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

JULY 29 – 30
Teays Valley Baptist Church will be holding At His Feet Ladies Conference from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

JULY 29
Holly Forbes and Corduroy Brown will be performing at 6:30 p.m. during Live on the Levee at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston.
Fitness Friday: There will be an obstacle course at 10 a.m. at the Hurricane Bridge Park on Midland Trail.
There will be a foam party for adults from 10 p.m. to midnight at the Foam Garage, 2716 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane. The cost is $10 per person. Featuring glow foam and 90’s music; white attire strongly suggested.

JULY 30
The Mountain Artist Democracy Music Festival will be held at Ridenour Park in Nitro from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There will be a food pantry at 8:30 a.m. at Cavalry Baptist Church, 3653 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.
The Rustic Mechanicals will be performing “Love Labour’s Lost” from 7 to 9 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

JULY 31
The Upper Vandalia Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. at the Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, Bancroft.
Grace Life Church will be holding a picnic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
There will be a ladies’ craft day 3 p.m. at the So-Kai Kidz Clubhouse at Valley Park in Hurricane. Make a two sided wooden jar using chalk couture products. The cost is $25. For tickets, go to www.sokaiclubhouse.com

AUGUST 5
The Nitro Antique Car Club will be holding a cruise in at 5 p.m. at 21st Street and 2nd Avenue in Nitro.
There will be a foam dance party for children ages 7-14 at 8 p.m. at the Foam Garage, 2716 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane. The cost is $8 per child. For more information, call (681) 235-2603.

AUGUST 6
The St. Albans Heritage Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Olde Main Plaza.
King’s River Worship Center, 777 Mallory Lane, St. Albans, will be holding a Bless You Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free clothing, shoes, toys, household items, and more.
There will be a community yard sale on Mallard Crossing off Mount Vernon Road in Hurricane starting at 9 a.m.
There will be an outdoor gospel sing and ice cream social starting at 2 p.m. at Adda Baptist Church, Sugar Creek Road, Hurricane.

STARTING AUGUST 7
Grace Life Church, 93 Joy Lane, Culloden, will be featuring “The Gospel of the King” sermon series throughout the month of August. Services start at 10 a.m.

The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and Network of Women will be hosting their 2022 Women’s Conference at the Toyota plant in Buffalo starting at 8 a.m.

AUGUST 12 – 13
There will be a vintage market at Saving Vintage, 401 Midland Trail, Hurricane, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
