The City of Hurricane recognized the 2022 Class AAA State Champion Hurricane High School Baseball Team at its August city council meeting on Monday.

The nine seniors on the team posted a 100-9 record during their three-year high school careers (the 2020 season was cancelled by Covid).

Members of the team are Quarrier Phillips, Ismael Borrero, Cameron Carney, Caden Johnson, Owen Gress, Reece Sutphin, Damian Witty, Chase Hager, Dylan Bell, Brogan Brown, Adrik Allie, Braden Sloan, Bryson Rigney, Evan Stover, Luke Semenie, Ethan Spolarich, Caden Dingess, Weston Smith, Payton Ocheltree, Tyson Skinner, and Luka Moore.
