The Cross Lanes United Methodist Church Baby Love Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. Diapers and wipes will be provided. The church is located at 5320 Frontier Drive, Cross Lanes. For more information, call (304) 415-3194.
There will be a catfish tournament at the Ridenour Lake in Nitro from 4:30 to 11 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.

Saint Albans will celebrate its train heritage at the Fourth Avenue Historic Train District from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mountain State Christian School, 1948 Martin Lane, Culloden, will be holding their First Annual Chili Cookoff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost to enter is $25.
Grace Life Church, 93 Joy Lane, Culloden, will be hosting a Bringing Back the Village seminar to create a kinder community for older neighbors. The seminar will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Generations will be singing and Tyler Greenway will be bringing the Good News at 7 p.m. at Mount Union Church, 19268 Jerry’s Run Road, Pliny.
Poca Heritage Day will take place in the town of Poca. The parade will be held at 11 a.m.
There will be a pig roast fundraiser at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Eleanor. The cost is $12 per person. Proceeds go towards the fair.

Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene will be holding their Annual Church Pig Roast and Pinewood Derby Race at 2 p.m. at the large shelter at Valley Park in Hurricane.

A newly formed Youth Book Club for grades 3-6 will meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Eleanor Library. Discuss books, ideas for the club, and meet new friends.
