RONNIE LEE CALL
Ronnie Lee Call, 61, of Hurricane, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2022, at home after an extended battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Connie Call. He is survived by his wife Pam, Sons Jessie (Sydney) Shearer, Johnathan Shearer and Ronald (Melissa)Call daughter Mindy Clinton. 6 grandchildren. Sisters Robin Davis and Cathy (Bill) Smith.
Funeral service was Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. James Jobe officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

DEMPSEY D. CASTO
Dempsey D. Casto, 72, of Jim Ridge, Liberty, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at his home following a long illness. He was a 1967 graduate of Buffalo High School and attended the Buffalo Church of God. He retired from AEP at the John Amos Power Plant. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and fur trapping. Dempsey’s greatest joy was the time he spent farming and caring for his cattle.
He was the son of the late James O. Casto and Florence Mae Casto. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Lee Casto.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy Higginbotham Casto; sons, Brian Dale (Laura) Casto of Jim Ridge, Christopher Alan (Cheryl) Casto of Jim Ridge and Justin Anthony (Callie) Casto of Manilla Ridge; grandchildren, Abigail Casto, Ricci Savilla, Gabi Kinser, Bella Savilla, Nathan Casto, Courtney Casto, Elijah Anderson, Nevaeh Anderson and Brooks Casto.
Funeral service was Monday, November 7, 2022 at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor Leroy Meadows and Rev. Mitchell Burch officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Given.

FRANK CIPOLAT
Frank Marco Cipolat, 84 of Liberty, went Home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2022 at his home in Paradise, WV, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Miami, WV, Frank lived his younger years in Cabin Creek and Beckley. In Cabin Creek, he helped at Probo’s Store owned by his late aunt Addie Stone. He was in the Army, having served his country in Korea, and received the Good Conduct Medal.
Frank attended Marshall University where he studied History. He later went to work at the State of WV Tax Department, having worked several years before retiring. After retirement he sold cars and windows just to keep busy.
Frank was the oldest child born to Marco & Julia Maggio Cipolat. He was a wonderful golfer, loved to mow his grass, work on his farm, and ride his mule side by side. Frank wasn’t much of a traveler but he loved to go fishing with his great neighbor and friend Brad. He loved to drink coffee and socialize with friends and family any chance he could. He never met a stranger and always gave advice to his daughter and anyone else who needed it. Right or wrong, he would always tell his opinion on the matter. He truly loved his life and all the blessings he had received throughout the years, including beating cancer.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia, father, Marco, and his late wife of 50 years: Carolyn Cipolat. He leaves behind a heartbroken daughter, Stacy Cipolat Hawkins, grandson: Jared Hawkins and a loving very blessed, fiancé: Gina Sandy. Frank also leaves behind a brother, Mike Cipolat, sister, Trina Banco, and many other dear and loving family members.
Funeral service was Friday, November 4, 2022 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield.

DOTTY LOU HAYES
Dotty Lou Hayes, 73, of Hurricane, went Home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022.
She was born on November 13, 1948, to the late Ruth Null in Point Pleasant.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Boyd Null; daughters: Ruth Ann Hayes, Teresa Lynn Hayes, and Sherri Lynn Hayes; brother and sister-in-law: Dickie and Mary Lou Wallace; brother-in-law, Bert Brown; mother and father-in-law, Jasper and Abby Hayes; step-brother, Carol Null, and step-sister Bonnie Racer.
Dotty was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church.
She is survived by her husband, JB Hayes; son: JG Hayes; special nephew: Jimmy Tucker; sister, Shug Brown; brother, Steve Null; grandchildren: Andrea and Tyler Johnson, Autumn and Tony Alvarez, Nathan Burnette, Noah and Shaela Burnette, Drew and Cassie Burnette, Tyler Hayes, Jr. McClanahan, Megan and Anthony Mynes, Aalaya Bailey-Williamson, Heather Nester, and Tyler Call; 24 great-grandchildren, along many other extended family and friends.
Dotty and her daughter Sherri had a joint funeral service on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastors David Erwin and Buck Casto officiating. Burial was in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane.

SHERRI LYNN HAYES
Sherri Lynn Hayes, 53, of Hurricane, went Home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022.
She was born on November 4, 1968, to the late Dotty Lou Hayes. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her sisters: Ruth Ann Hayes and Teresa Lynn Hayes; uncle: Bert Brown; aunt and uncle: Dickie and Mary Lou Wallace; maternal grandparents: Ruth and Boyd Null; paternal grandparents: Jasper and Abby Hayes; step-uncle: Carol Null; and step-aunt: Bonnie Racer.
Sherri enjoyed spending time with her family. She had an infectious personality and everyone around her enjoyed her spirit, tenacity, and love for life. She never met a stranger in her entire life.
She is survived by her father, JB Hayes; brothers: JG Hayes and Jimmy Tucker; children: Andrea and Tyler Johnson, Autumn and Tony Alvarez, Nathan Burnette, Noah and Shaela Burnette, Drew and Cassie Burnette, Megan and Anthony Mynes, and Jr. McClanahan; grandchildren: Liam, Taylin, Keyria, Savannah, Remi, Lincoln, Brantley, Jesse, Alexander, Adam, Eli, Reid, Emma, Izzy, Opie, Ethan, Caiden, Addy, Jackson, and Harmony; cousins: Regina Layman, Wayne Wallace, and Dean Wallace; nephews: Tyler Hayes, Christopher Daily and James Layman; and nieces: Rachael Loken and Brandi Wallace.

MARJORIE HUDNALL
Marjorie Hively Hudnall, 89, of Scott Depot, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
She was born in Roane County, the daughter of Emmett (Buck) and Thelma Hively. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Hively.
Marge graduated from Dunbar High School and Capitol City Commercial College. She was employed by Union Carbide until leaving to join her husband who was stationed with the US Army at Fort Rucker, Alabama. She later resided in Nitro where they raised their family. Marge then worked as a secretary at Mouldagraph Corporation where she retired with 20 years of service.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Nitro where she was active in the United Methodist Women, the Ina Thomas Circle and the Sew Happy Quilters. She was a charter member of the Magic Valley Mother’s Club and a past president of The Child Study League. Marge enjoyed her grandchildren, her dog, Cody, working in her flower garden, reading, and working crossword puzzles.
Marge is survived by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth of Scott Depot, son, Scott and wife Kim of Laguna Niguel, CA, daughter Vicki Michaels and husband Tom of Lagrange Park, IL. Five grandchildren: Jessica Chomyn (David) of Laguna Niguel, CA, Brandon Michaels of Clarendon Hills, IL, Sarah Michaels, Noblesville, IN, and Rachel Arif (Ahmed) of Chicago, IL, one great-grandson, Kaden Hudnall.
A Celebration of Marge’s life was held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church of St. Albans, with Pastor Nancy White and Pastor Sara Facemeyer Lamb officiating. Burial was in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

ELAINE M. PRIDDY
Elaine M. Priddy, 78, of Eleanor, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Genesis Putnam Center following a long illness. She devoted her life to caring for others as a nurse. She retired from CAMC with 27 years of service. Elaine was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Joanna Neff; sister, Patricia Jividen; brothers, George Neff and Carl Miller.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Mansford D. Priddy; son, Michael (Spring) Priddy of Eleanor; daughter, Felicia (Jody) Kaiser of Eleanor; grandchildren, Zachary Priddy, Logan Priddy and Landon Priddy.
A graveside service was held at Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor, with Pastor Larry Mobley officiating.

DENNIS ALTON SHELTZ
Dennis Alton Sheltz, of Teays Valley, passed away on his 79th birthday, Nov 6, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
Denny was a self- employed contractor (Teays Valley Construction), (Sierra Pools and Spas) and was a long time resident of Teays Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald (Buck), and Frances Sheltz. Brother, Ronald Sheltz, Jr. and Sister, Charma Sheltz. His beloved dog Jay Jay.
Surviving are his children, Kecia (Mike) Murphy of NC, Brian (Abby) Sheltz of Red House, and Sierra Sheltz of Hurricane. Sisters, Cheryl (Chirp) Jones, Cindy (Larry) Call, Renee (Tom) Daddysman. Lifelong friend, Russell Browning. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
No service will be held per Denny’s wishes.

MARY LUCILLE TAYLOR
Mary Lucille Taylor, 85, of Hurricane, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Teays Valley Center Hurricane.
Mary was born October 16, 1937 in Putnam County, to the late John Cline and Mary Lillian Boyer Hern. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Norvel Ray Taylor.
Mary was a homemaker who loved her family.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Taylor (Sandy) of Hurricane and Kevin Taylor (Lisa) of Charlotte NC; sister, Margaret Nance; grandchildren: Heather, Ashley, Kevin, and Lindsey; and other extended family and friends.
Funeral service was Monday, November 7, 2022 at Chapman Funeral Home Hurricane.
