WEEKENDS IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
Fear on the Farm, 8325 Winfield Road, Winfield, will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER 28
The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon/Arby’s on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

SEPTEMBER 21 – 23
The Nitro Antique Car Club will be hosting a swap meet at the Winfield Riding Club.

SEPTEMBER 21
The Putnam Chamber Network of Women 2023 Women’s Conference will be held at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Buffalo. For more information, call (304) 757-6510.
There will be a homeschool picture day at 9:30 a.m. at Ridenour Park, Nitro, to benefit the Alzheimers Association. For more information, email [email protected]
The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca, will be holding a clothing closet, hot meal, and food pantry box from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Night Market will be held at Valley Park in Hurricane from 6 to 9 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 22 – 23
There will be an antique sale at the Winfield Riding Club starting at 9 a.m.
Community Church, 212 Dudding Avenue, Hurricane, will be holding a men’s conference from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 4p .m. on Saturday. Cost is $25; register by going to https://cchwv.org/event/mens-conference

SEPTEMBER 22
There will be a ribbon cutting for Edward Jones Financial Advisor – Travis Willard AAMS, 996 WV Route 34, Hurricane, from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

SEPTEMBER 23
There will be a Crafters Destash Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2008 20th Street, Nitro.
The Bancroft Town Clean-Up will be from 7 to 11 a.m. at the town park.
Community Autism Resources & Education Systems (CARES) will be holding a movie night at 7 p.m. at Bright Futures Learning Services, 2631 WV-34, Winfield. The movie is “The Super Mario Bros Movie.”
Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane, will be holding a vendor event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Hurricane Church of the Nazarene, 358 Route 60, will be holding a National Day of Youth Ministry Training from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The event is free, but register by contacting the church.

SEPTEMBER 24
Singer, songwriter, and storyteller Daryl Mosley will be performing at 6:00 p.m. at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church, 2848 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane.

SEPTEMBER 25
The Bookworms Youth Book Club will meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Eleanor Library.

SEPTEMBER 24 – 27
There will be a revival featuring Evangelist Michael Smith at Oma Chapel Church, Arbuckle Creek Road, Leon. Services are Sunday night at 6 p.m. and week nights at 7 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 29 – 30
Poca Heritage Day will be held in Poca. Cruise-in on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to dusk at Poca Middle School. Saturday’s events begin with a parade at 11 a.m.
There will be a vintage market and vendor fair (Saturday only) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Saving Vintage, 401 Midland Trail, Hurricane.

SEPTEMBER 30
There will be an all horse parade starting at 10 a.m. in Buffalo.
The Winfield High School Band Invitational will start at noon at the high school.
There will be a plant and perennial swap at 1 p.m. at the Putnam County Main Library.
There will be a food pantry at 8:30 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3653 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.
Community Church, 212 Dudding Avenue, Hurricane, will be holding a fall craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

OCTOBER 1
The Milton Pumpkin Festival Grand Parade will start at 2 p.m. in Milton.
Faith Christian Fellowship, Crystal Lane, Buffalo, will be holding a Friends and Neighbors Sunday with a Post Game Tailgate Party starting at 10 a.m.
The Trinity Aires – The Cook Family will be performing at 11 a.m. at East Nitro United Baptist Church, Corner of Elm Street and Washington Avenue, Nitro.

STARTING OCTOBER 4
River Ridge Church, Saturn Way, Hurricane, will be hosting Freedom in Christ at 6 p.m. This is a six-session discipleship course. Register by going to https://riverridge.tv/event/19447457-2023-10-04-freedom-in-christ-grace-course-registration

OCTOBER 5 – 8
The Pumpkin Festival will be held at Pumpkin Park in Milton. Thursday and Friday gate fee is $8 and Saturday and Sunday is $10.
