JACKIE DAVIS
Jackie Lee “Jack” Davis, 69, of Red House, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. He was a 1972 graduate of Braxton County High School and a graduate of Marshall University. He retired from Napa Auto Parts. Jack loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding and attending auctions.
Born March 21, 1954 in Sutton, he was the son of the Helen Beth Frame Davis of Sutton and the late, Jackie Joe Davis.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Regina Davis; son, Matthew “Brian” (Crystal) Davis of Myakka City FL; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Davis of Webster Springs; grandchildren, Emily Davis and Eric Davis; special friend, Sherry Mallett. Jack is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral service was Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, with Rev. Roby Godfrey and Pastor Richard Demastus officiating. Burial was in Davis Cemetery, Sutton.

JANET FAY DOUGLAS
Janet Fay Douglas, 75, of Hometown, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was a 1965 graduate of Poca High School. She retired from the United States Post Office, having served for many years in Charleston and Poca. Janet attended Riverside Baptist Church in Red House.
Born on January 3, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Junior Jeffries and Ruby Fay Jeffries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Ray Jeffries.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Tommy Douglas; sons, J.D. (Debbie) Douglas of Fraziers Bottom and Chuck Douglas of Hometown; sister Billie Jo (Tony) Sutherland of Scott Depot; grandchildren, C.T. Douglas, Ben Douglas and Ayden Douglas
Funeral service was Monday October 9, 2023 at Raynes Funeral Home, Eleanor, with Pastor Mike Hanna officiating. Burial was int Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House.

ANNA GRACE FOGARTY
Anna “Grace” Armstrong Hall Fogarty, 84, of Scott Depot, stepped onto the streets of gold and met her Savior face to face on October 6, 2023.
She was born on October 20, 1938 to the late Hugh and Viola Armstrong on her family farm in Garretts Bend.
After graduating from Duval High, Grace joined the Air Force as a key punch operator and later earned an Electronics degree. She worked on and off thru out her life including the assembly line at Volkswagen and in healthcare. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, ball room dancing, estate sales and spending time with her family. Mamaw treasured time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Talking to them and about them brought her pride and joy.
Grace was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Delores and Wanda Jean.
Grace is survived by her husband Terry Fogarty; daughter and son in law Denise and John Young; grandchildren: Ashley (Adam) Hill and Jamie (Lydia) Young; great grandchildren: Anna Blair, Noah and Ivy Hill; her kitty, Pookie, and a host of family and friends. Although she will be dearly missed we take comfort in knowing that we will see her again one day in Heaven.
Funeral Service for Grace was Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastor D. Travis Rucker officiating. Burial was in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

Susan Hannaman
Susan “Sue” Hannaman, 59, of Midland, TX passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Sue was born and raised in Scott Depot. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kitty Hannaman.
She is survived by her brother, Steven Hannaman (Millie) of Efland NC and sister, Sherry Rhodes (Rick) of Hurricane; nephews Chris Rhodes, Jason Rhodes and Matthew Hannaman and great nephew, Joseph Rhodes who was the light of her life.
Sue graduated from Winfield High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and took courses toward her Masters in graduate school at West Virginia University. She had retired from the Railroad Commission of Texas and was currently working for ConocoPhillips as a petroleum engineer in their regulatory Department.
Sue had a passion for helping those in need. She worked with many charitable organizations including several prison ministries. She was active in spreading God’s Love and Grace through church, street ministries, and every facet of her life.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane.

Robert Allen Harrison
Robert Allen Harrison, 55, of Nitro, passed away October 1, 2023, at home.
Robbie loved basketball, bowling, movies, fishing, and watching the Dukes of Hazard.
He is preceded in death by his father Darrell Harrison.
He is survived by his mother Judith Harrison; brothers Stanley and Richie Harrison; sisters Joy Wagner and Janella Slate and a host of nieces and nephews.
A tribute to the life of Robbie was held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at New Antioch Cemetery, Red House, with Pete Harrison officiating. Burial was in the cemetery.

Olin O. Jividen
Olin O. Jividen, 89, of Eleanor, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. He was a Buffalo High School graduate and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 187 and retired from Kaiser Aluminum with over 30 years of service.
Born May 2, 1934 he was the son of the late Oshel O. Jividen and Hazel Lunsford Jividen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice Stone; brothers Elvin Jividen and Glennis Jividen.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Carolyn Jividen; sons, Tim (Tammy) Jividen of Martinsville VA, Todd (Kevin) Jividen of Apex NC and Thom (Cara) Jividen of Bloomington IL; brothers, Vernon Jividen of Cross Lanes, Merril (Patty) Jividen of Midway and Veril (Donna) Jividen of Scott Depot; grandchildren, Wes Jividen, Brittany Jividen, Chelsea Koeller and Brooke Jividen. Olin is also survived eleven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral service was Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Raynes Funeral Home, Eleanor, with Rev. Gordon Ford officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor.

Juanita Mynes
Juanita (Nene) Ann Mynes passed into eternity peacefully in the early morning hours of October 6, 2023. She was born June 2, 1944, to the late Robert E. Mynes and Beulah E. Womack Mynes. In addition to her Mother and Father she was preceded in death by her brothers Garland, Hayes and Jerrell, sisters Mamie and Yvonne. Surviving are many Nieces and Nephews, most of whom she had a hand in raising. Nene was of the Baptist Faith. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Teays Valley Center for their care over the years. Many were like family to her.
Funeral service was Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home with Joe Vance officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Curtis Eli Stewart
Curtis Eli Stewart, 74, of Hurricane, passed away on October 4, 2023 at CAMC Memorial. He was preceded in death by his parents Garnet and Stanley Stewart, Brothers, Ed, Dave and Lawrence and Sisters, Freda and Hazel.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sheila Tucker Stewart, Daughters Amy (Josh) Cyrus and Carrie Mullins. Grandson Noah Lee Stewart that he loved dearly. Brother, Clayton (Connie) Stewart and sisters Doris (Mart) and Ellie.
Funeral service was Monday, October 9, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Justin Edward Wysong
Justin Edward Wysong, 40, Hurricane, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. A Celebration of Life service was conducted Monday, October 9, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton by Rev. Randy Carter.
He was born March 8, 1983 in Charleston, a son of Mark Percy and Robin Moss Wysong of Milton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenith and Percy Wysong and Noble and Wilma Moss. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Cabell Wysong; one daughter, Rylea White of Hurricane; one son, Isaac White of Hurricane; fur children, Scooter and Roscoe; one sister, Amy Miller (B.J.) of Salt Rock; nieces, Abbie and Bailei; nephew, Reid; cousins, Mike and Jess Moss, Bobby and Ashley Piscopo, Aaron and Chrissy Moss, Jamie Moss, Shelly Bryan and their children; and a host of other family and friends.
