The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon/Arby’s on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be having a meet up at 8 a.m. at Area 34, 971 WV Route 34, Teays Valley.
The Zoology Science Center, located at Valley Park in Hurricane, will be holding Science Story Time at 5:30 p.m. The topic is puking pumpkins.

OCTOBER 21 – 22
The 49th Annual Jewelry, Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show and Sale will be held at the South Charleston Community Center. Hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

OCTOBER 21
Beauty for Ashes – A Women’s Ministry Encounter – will be hosting the Resurrection Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nitro Church of God, 1517 15st Street, Nitro.
Walker Chevrolet in Nitro will be holding Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m.
The Pit CrawlZone, 1102 11th Street, Nitro, will be holding a Halloween event for remote controlled car fans starting at 4 p.m.
The Nitro Show Choirs will be holding a Spooktacular performance starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door.
Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, Bancroft, will hold Trunk and Treat from 5 to 7 p.m.
The 35th Annual Buffalo Octoberfest will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Buffalo.
Mikele Buck will be performing from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at Brookse’s Bar and Grill, 13184 Winfield Road, Winfield. Branson Tolliver will be opening.
Appalachian Champion Wrestling will be coming to the Winfield Riding Club at 7 p.m. Bring your own chairs.

The West Virginia Horse Network Charity Fun Show will start at 10 a.m. at the Winfield Riding Club.
There will be a pumpkin carving contest starting at 3 p.m. at the Hurricane City Park.
Johan Botes will be presenting “An Organ Extravaganza” on the Harrah Symphonic Organ at 3:00 p.m. at the Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church, Putnam Avenue, Hurricane. Admission is $15.

OCTOBER 23
There will be a premiere of the locally produced film “1861” at 7 p.m. at Social Event Space, Main Street, Hurricane.

OCTOBER 24
The Putnam Library presents Campfire Tales at Valley Park in Hurricane at 7 p.m. All ages are welcome.

OCTOBER 25 – 28
The AMT Kids Consignment Sale will be held at Valley Park in Hurricane from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

First Baptist Church of Nitro, 2200 2nd Avenue, Nitro, will be holding Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7 p.m.
There will be a walk in flu shot clinic from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Library.

Valley Park’s final Night Market of the year will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. The theme is Fright Market.

OCTOBER 27
The Hurricane High School Class of 1968 will meet at 6 p.m. at the Garage, 3057 Mount Vernon Road, Teays Valley. The cost is $10 per person. RSVP by emailing [email protected]
