GERALD BEAVER
Gerald (Judd) Franklin Beaver passed from this life and entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1940, in Culloden to parents Frank Beaver and Inez Beaver Kingery.
Judd was a 1958 graduate of Hurricane High School, where he played football. He proudly served both God and his country as member of the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. He was a devout Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hurricane, where he served as a Deacon for 50 years, taught Sunday School, and served on several committees.
Following his military service, he was a Master Electrician in the Hurricane community where he wired several houses and built three homes of his own. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and partnered with Jim McPherson on various projects towards the end of his career. Judd will always be remembered for his kindness to others, his dedication and love for family, and his willingness to help those in need. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting. Judd also enjoyed watching his grandkids sports, band competitions, and high school chorus events.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Bonnie Lou Grant Beaver. He is additionally survived by a brother, Bennie Beaver (Eloisa) of San Diego, Sister-in-law Betty Anne Beaver, Sister-in-law Sue Carroll and Brother-in-law Gary Carroll ; his children, Gerald Beaver Jr. (Hope), Kipp Beaver (Kim), and Stacey Smith (Scott); his grandchildren, Austin Beaver (Emily), Sawyer Smith (Emily), Skye Reymond (Brady), Melanie Edge (Trevor), and Megan Downing (James); and his great-grand-children, whom he adored, Maryn & Maddox Smith, Luke Downing, and Kinley & Sydney Reymond.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Beaver and Inez Beaver Kingery and a brother, Richard (Dick) Beaver.
Funeral Service was Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment was at Valley View Memorial Park.

EVLYN FULTZ
Evlyn Maxine (Cornell) Fultz, 89, of Buffalo, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston.
Evlyn was born May 12, 1935 and preceded in death by her husband, Frank Warren Fultz, her parents, Clifford Carl Cornell and Virginia Pearl (Skinner Penix) Cornell; her sister, Helen (Penix) Whittington; and son-in-law, Rickey Alan King.
Evlyn is survived by her daughters, Sharon “Sherry” Jean (Ron) Capehart and Toni Frances King; grandchildren, Aaron Steven (Christina Brianne) King, Miranda Lynn (Dylan) Vallance and Amanda Rashaun King; great grandchildren, Lincoln Matthew King and Kaleb Bentley King; as well as her beloved niece, Crystal Elaine Whittington.
A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Winfield on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

DONNA GLASKO
Donna Kay (Mynes) Glasko, of Culloden, passed away on October 17, 2024, after a prolonged illness. Born on August 12, 1951, to the late Garland Roscoe Mynes and Minnie Lee (Blankenship) Mynes, she graduated from Hurricane High School in 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Glasko-Tully, and son-in-law, Lawrence Tully, of Summersville; her sister, Conna Bird, and brother-in-law, Robin Bird, of Hurricane; her niece, Amanda Johnson, and husband, Scott Johnson, of Hurricane; and her great-niece, Allison Oxley, also of Hurricane. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous cousins.
A service to celebrate Donna’s life, officiated by Pastor Edwin Harper, was at Allen Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, 2024. Interment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Hurricane.

JOHN HANSFORD HOWARD
John H. Howard, 70, of Hurricane, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 11, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Elswick; and sister, Kathleen Wood.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diana “Sis” Lynn Howard; daughters: Amy Hunt (Brian) of Oak Park, IL, Terri Howard (Brent Doughty) and Jenifer Howard both of Hurricane, WV; grandchildren: Christian Hatfield (Angel), Lexie Hatfield, Sophia Hunt and Isabel Hunt; brother: Virgil Wood (Sandy) of California; and one great grandchild on the way.
John was a loving father and grandfather, devoted husband and a loyal friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service for John will be held at a later date.

Jerry A. Jeffers
Jerry A. Jeffers, 86, of Culloden, passed away on October 1, 2024.
He was born on January 13, 1938 to the late Willis and Ruby Jeffers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife: Hazel L. Jeffers.
Jerry is survived by his daughters: Penny Warner (Sid) of Hurricane, and Sheila Jeffers of Ocala, FL; grandchildren: April Largett (Ron), Jeremy Warner, Joey Warner (Allison), Josh Fitchpatrick (Myrna), Justin Warner, and Nick Fitchpatrick; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings.
A private family burial will be held 2:30pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Geraldine Johns
Geraldine Johns, 92, of Buffalo, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, following a sudden illness. She was a 1950 graduate of Buffalo High School. Geraldine was always known for her cooking and had a long career as a cook. She was the owner of the Restaurant in Buffalo, cook at Venture Lanes in Nitro, McJunkin Co. and the Buffalo Diner. She loved to bowl and play softball.
Born April 28, 1932 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Mack Martin and Nellie Badgley Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Don A. Johns; brothers, Hollis Martin, Gallie Martin, Hancil Martin, Thurman Martin and Kenneth Martin; sisters, Helen Harmon, Goldie Craig, Maxine Wandling, Gladys Wandling and Mae Belle Whittington; son in law, Tom Reed.
Survivors include her son; Don A. Johns Jr. of Buffalo; daughter, Barbara Reed of Buffalo; brother, Gilbert Martin of Buffalo; grandchildren, Jonathan Reed, Lisa Wilson, Jessica Reed and Drew Johns; great grandchildren, Brody and Finan. Geraldine is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral service was Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Rev Mitchell Burch officiating.

Charles Wayne Ord
Charles Wayne Ord, 74, of Titusville, FL, went to Heaven from St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care in Titusville, FL, on Friday October 18, 2024, after a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Juanita Ord, and brother Eddie Ord.
Wayne is survived by the love of his life, his loving wife of 53 years, Janet (McCune) Ord. He was dearly loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed by his friends, family and loved ones.
Wayne was a 1968 graduate of Poca High School, and he retired from Cemex, in Titusville, FL.
A celebration of Waynes life was held at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, with Pastor Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial was in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House.

John ‘J.E.’ Waugh
John Edward “J.E.” Waugh, 61, of Leon, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, following a short illness. He was a 1981 graduate of Buffalo High School and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 175. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. JE was a gun enthusiast at heart, a Ford fan and a Pittsburg Steelers fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lori Jo Waugh.
Born September 2, 1963, he was the son of Gary and Martha Waugh of Leon.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Starla Waugh of Leon; children, Kimmy Myles of Eleanor, Keith Waugh of Leon, Steven Stephenson of Quincy KY, Makenzie Patton of Eleanor and Casandra Pritt of Belle; grandchildren, Kaylee Jo Myles of Eleanor and Tyler Witt of Eleanor; brothers, Jesse (Teresa) Waugh and Scottie Waugh. J.E. is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
In accordance with his wishes there are no formal services planned at this time.

Thomas Clark White
Thomas C. White, 75, of Winfield, departed this life unexpectedly Thursday, October 10, 2024 at home.
He was born July 25, 1949 in South Charleston, a son of the late, Radford G. and Lucille J. (Clark) White.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Yan (Xiao) White; two brothers as well as many other family and friends.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Marcella Womack
Marcella Louise Womack, 88, of Hurricane, passed away Friday, October 18th, 2024, after a short illness. She was a retired caregiver from Lakin State Hospital.
She was born in Rome, Ohio on February 22, 1936. The youngest of five siblings to the late William Thomas, and Myrtle Bush Nottingham.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Maxwell Womack and sons Timothy R. Scarberry, William F. Womack, Gary Womack and Donald R. Womack.
She is survived by a daughter Lynda F. Maynard and sons Richard T. Womack and Lonnie L. Womack, all of Hurricane and eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
Funeral services for Marcella were Wednesday, October 23rd, at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Kernen officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville.
