  • The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34, Teays Valley.

THURSDAYS THROUGH NOVEMBER

  • Bringing Back the Village – Free seminars for seniors and their caregivers will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the Putnam County Main Library in Teays Valley.

FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER

  • The Town of Bancroft will be holding Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • The City of Winfield will be having Trick or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • The City of Hurricane will be observing Trick or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Main Street Trick or Treat will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Main Street, Hurricane.

NOVEMBER 1

  • Game Grove, located in Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley, will be hosting a Learn How to Play Spades event starting at 6 p.m.
  • Business Before Business will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at United Talent Staffing, 45 Chase Drive, Hurricane.
  • Designed for children aged 1-6 to help them explore physical activities in a safe and engaging environment, TOTs Fun Zones are held on a weekly basis at Quantum Sports Center, 223 Commerce Drive, Hurricane, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call (304) 562-1020.

  • The 7th Annual Putnam County Classic Disc Golf tournament powered by Innova Champion Discs will be held at Valley Park in Hurricane.

  • Roxlana Gospel Tabernacle, 2011 Roxalana Road, will be holding a flea market, BBQ/hot dog and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Gritt’s Fun Farm, located near Buffalo, will be holding a costume parade at noon. Line up begins at 11:45 a.m. at the Pumpkin House.
  • The 30th Annual Eleanor Arts & Crafts Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red House in Eleanor.
  • Snap Lawn and Handyman Service, 79 Lincoln Street, Scott Depot, will be holding a Customer Appreciation Day starting at noon.
  • The Annual Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, located on Putnam Avenue in Hurricane.

  • Gritt’s Fun Farm, located near Buffalo, will be holding Pumpkin Smash from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • The Rowseys will be performing at 6 p.m. at Sousanah Free Will Baptist Church, 2826 Charleys Creek Road, Culloden.

STARTING NOVEMBER 4

  • Zoology Zone, located at Valley Park in Hurricane, will be hosting Tortoise Talk for homeschoolers from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

  • There will be a free women’s self defense class at 4:30 p.m. at Pinnacle Karate Center, 153 Commerce Drive, Hurricane.
  • There will be a free comedy show at 6:30 p.m. at Main Street Creamery and Grill, 2759 Main Street, Hurricane.

  • Express Employment Professionals will be holding a walk-in recruiting and hiring event from noon to 4 p.m. at Area 34, 971 WV Route 34, Hurricane.

NOVEMBER 7

  • The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Best Practices for Labor and Employment Law informational session a 8:30 a.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Hurricane.
  • There will be a story time and celebraiton at 10 a.m. at the Fairy Trail at Valley Park in Hurricane. Meet at the shelter nearest to the trail entrance at the back of Valley Park.
  • A book club meets at the Buffalo Library at 5 p.m. and the Hurricane Library at 5:30 p.m.
