Community Calendar for Week of February 13

SATURDAYS THROUGH FEBRUARY

  • There will be a free open gym for 1st – 5th graders every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Zone Out Sports, located on Morris Court, just off Main Street in Hurricane..

FEBRUARY 13

  • The Galentine’s Day Comedy show will start at 7 p.m. at The Garage, 3057 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

FEBRUARY 14

  • Go on an arctic expedition to engineer a dwelling for the abominable snowman at the Eleanor Library at 3 p.m. All ages welcome, elementary age encouraged.

  • There will be a board game night from 6 to 10 p.m. at Game Grove, located in Putnam Village Shopping Center, Teays Valley.
  • Hurricane VFW 9097 Canteen, 3836 Teays Valley Road, will be hosting Valentine’s Day “Dart-entine” dart throwing event starting at 7:30 p.m.

  • The Putnam County Chamber Network of Women will be holding a Red Cross blood drive from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Teays Valley.

FEBRUARY 21

  • Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, Bancroft, will be holding an evening of praise and thanksgiving starting at 7 p.m.
  • There will be a career pop-up event from 9 a.m. to noon at Putnam County Family Support, 10822 Winfield Road, Winfield.
  • There will be a barn quilt painting class from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Area 34, 971 West Virginia Route 34, Hurricane.

  • Oma Chapel Church, Arbuckle Creek Road, Grimms Landing (Leon), will be holding a Love Thy Neighbor Dinner starting at 4 p.m.
