‘Last Supper’ Relived in Forrest Burdette UMC Production

The Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church reenacted Leonardo di Vinci’s famous painting of the Last Supper for Maundy Thursday on April 17. The scene depicted the last meal which Jesus shared with His twelve disciples. After being given the shocking revelation that one of their number would betray Jesus, each disciple wondered if he would prove to be the traitor among them.

Jesus and the Twelve Disciples were portrayed by Ellis Conley, Jake Herndon, Joe Kenaston, Jason Haught, J. D. Philyaw, David Haney, Matt Williamson, Caleb Turner, Matt Cox, Wes Vassar, Luke Spurgeon, John Martin, and J. B. Marinacci. The production was directed by Brenda McBrayer, with Julie Conley serving as assistant director.
