Parallel and Black Spot are now officially teenagers! They celebrated their 13th birthday on June 14 with a tuna “cake” and treats. They are brother and sister who were born in the kitchen closet here at the Breeze. There were two other kittens in the litter – Captain Morgan and Shadow. Captain Morgan decided to go off in search of adventure many years ago, and Shadow passed away last summer from health issues.

Parallel and Black Spot feel honored that America’s founding fathers in their foreknowledge chose their birthday date of June 14 to adopt the American flag in 1777.

While Parallel and Black Spot might be 13 in human years, they are estimated to be around 68 in cat years. However, they certainly do not act their age, and remain as playful and sprightly as ever.
