The high temperatures of the recent week brought waves of people to the Wave Pool – with crowds becoming so large that pool administration was forced to post announcements on Facebook advising people to plan their visit for another day. The Wave Pool’s maximum capacity is 700; over 680 people seeking to beat the heat came out on Saturday, June 21. When the facility opened in the morning, a line of people were waiting outside, and the numbers did not stop coming all day.
On Sunday, June 22, the Wave Pool posted another advisory post to their Facebook page – “Almost at max capacity Sunday! If you aren’t here, you may not get in.”
On Monday, June 23, the Wave Pool posted that they reached capacity and advised the public to go to the Eleanor Pool instead.
As a result of high numbers and a steady influx of guests, the management of the Wave Pool has doubled the number of life guards on duty.
