Mud was a challenge for fair-goers at this year’s Putnam County Fair as more than an inch of rain fell on the fairgrounds in Eleanor in the closing days of the fair. While the precipitation produced parking lot navigation difficulties for visitors, 4-Wheel Drive Mud Run participants were not deterred. Entrants in Saturday’s Mud Run competition recorded very rapid run times.
A listing of times was not available as this issue went to press on Tuesday but times of 2.792 seconds, 2.950 seconds, 3.540 seconds, and 2.742 seconds were reported when the Breeze was present.
