Valley Park in Hurricane will be lit up for the season on Friday, December 5, with a Christmas tree lighting, singing, food trucks, carriage rides, Santa Claus, and more.

A complete schedule of events follows.

6 – 9 p.m. – Live Nativity, carriage rides, and food trucks
6 p.m. – Jingle Tails pet parade
6 p.m. – Announcement of sponsored tree awards
6:10 – 6:30 p.m. – Hurricane Civic Chorus performance
6:15 p.m. – Ugly Sweater Contest
6:30 p.m. – Tree Lighting
6:35 p.m. – Santa Claus arrives
6:35 p.m. – Story time with the Putnam County Library
6:35 – 9 p.m. – Visits with Santa Claus
6:30 – 9 p.m. – Crafts for children

The Live Nativity, which is performed by Word of Light Community Church, will also be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.
