Renaissance Faire Coming to Valley Park

The Hurricane Renaissance Faire will be held on May 23rd, from 10 am – 6 pm at Valley Park’s large shelter in Hurricane. The Faire will include family friendly activities such as interactive quests, live performers, murder mystery fun with Dice & Deception, live blacksmith demonstrations by Mountain Forge, fun crafts with the Huntington Museum of Art and others, and local artists and vendors, and food trucks.

The event will feature Elenna the BardTender singing tavern songs and ballads, the Wolfhounds of Appalachia, the Duelists of Appalachia, and the Sugar Sirens Mermaids.

Bring your trinkets and join in the faire tradition of the trinket trade, take on a quest, shop the market and enjoy the fun. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for 11-17 year olds, and free for 10 and under. Schedules will be posted to the Hurricane Renaissance Faire’s Facebook and other social media accounts, as well as teasers for the interactive quests.

The Hurricane Renaissance Faire is organized by Hurricon Inc. a WV nonprofit organization creating pop-culture and themed events designed to strengthen community and support meaningful causes, such as the American Cancer Society.
