  • The Nitro Church of God, 1517 15th Street, Nitro, will be holding Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night.
  • The Buffalo Church of the Nazarene, 25053 Buffalo Road, Buffalo, will be holding Down on the Farm Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.

  • Winfield United Methodist Church, 20 Radwin Drive, Winfield, will be holding Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. nightly.

  • Celebrate the land and trail expansion at Ridenour Lake in Nitro from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • There will be a Rock Branch Area Wide Clean Up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Truck will be located in front of the Rock Branch Industrial Park, 300 Jacobson Drive, Poca.
  • Cast & Connect: Join Women Wine & Waders for a fishing event from 1 to 5 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane to celebrate West Virginia Day.
  • Main Street Church of Christ, 2582 Main Street, Hurricane, will be holding Fearless Deeds of the Defenders Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Keagan Gross 4th Annual Memorial Car Show will start at 9 a.m. at River Ridge Church, Saturn Way, Hurricane.
  • Cops N Rodders Classic Car Club will be holding a cruise-in from 5 p.m. to dusk at the Putnam County Bank parking lot behind the Hurricane McDonalds.

  • The Putnam County Moose, located in Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley, offers line dancing every Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

  • Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church, 2848 Putnam Avenue, Hurricane, will be holding Hero Central Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. nightly.

  • Oma Chapel Church, 2116 Arbuckle Creek, Leon, will be holding Climb Aboard the Happy Day Express Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.
  • Elizabeth Baptist Church, 523 Washington Street, Bancroft, will be holding Jesus Is Master of All Vacation Bible School from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.
  • Hometown Apostolic Church, 47 2nd Avenue S, Hometown, will be holding True North Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.
  • Freedom’s Promise Ministries, 19966 Winfield Road, Fraziers Bottom, will be holding Illumination Station Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly.

  • Meet an Alaskan sled dog at 10 a.m. at the Putnam County Main Library in Teays Valley.
  • The Putnam County Crochet Club will be meeting at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy’s in the Valley Episcopal Church, 3434 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.

JUNE 24

  • Dinosaur Power Hour – a dino-inspired STEM event – will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Eleanor Library.
  • The Putnam County Family Support Center will be hosting a FREE Community Pool Party at the Eleanor Pool from 6 – 8 p.m.
  • Fill Your Cup: Leading With Flexibility, an interactive workshop for professionals, will be held at 9 a.m. at Area 34, 971 State Route 34, Teays Valley. To register, call the Chamber of Commerce at (304) 757-6510.

JUNE 25

  • The Night Market at Valley Park will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Local vendors and live entertainment. This month’s theme is Superheroes Night.

JUNE 26

  • Fitness Friday: Moxie Fitness instructors will be teaching a yoga class at 10 a.m. at the Putnam County Main Library in Teays Valley.
  • The Putnam County Solid Waste Authority will be holding a homeschool science class from 10 a.m. to noon at the red barn at Hurricane City Park.
