George’s Dry Cleaning and Laundromat have separated after presenting a unified front on Hurricane’s Main Street for more than fifty years. The partnership of the two buildings ended in a divorce last week when Morris Hauldren demolished the laundromat structure.

The parting of ways came less than two months from the day on which Greg and Wes Allen purchased the parcel on which the dry cleaning building and a portion of the laundromat stood and Morris Hauldren purchased the lot which served as most of the laundromat’s home.

The Allens have not announced their plans for the dry cleaning building’s future.
