Putnam County Circuit Court Judge Mark Sorsaia announced his resignation as Putnam County Circuit Court Judge effective July 31, 2026 due to an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

Sorsaia’s record of public service began in 1988 as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Putnam County. He was elected as Putnam’s prosecuting attorney in 1996 and served five terms.
