CAMC Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Urology Center in Hurricane

On Wednesday, April 7, CAMC held a ribbon cutting for the new location of its urology division on Teays Valley Road, across from the Hurricane Post Office. The facility houses urology services with Dr. Shrikant Vaidya, who has over forty-nine years of experience in the medical field.

Jeff Goode, Vice President for Ambulatory Services, said that the establishment of the new urology building is part of CAMC’s continuing promise to keep care in the community and continue growing services for patients.

In 2006, CAMC took over Putnam General Hospital, and it became CAMC Teays Valley. Since then, CAMC has added orthopedic, general surgery, primary care, neurology, urology, cardiology and oncology services in the Teays Valley area.

“This is an example of the ongoing commitment to improve access to care and modern facilities and technology,” said Goode.
