Community Calendar for Week of June 24

Hope for Addiction meetings are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane.

Valley Park’s Night Market and Movie Night will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursdays in June and July at Valley Park in Hurricane.

Food Truck Friday is held every Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Putnam County Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park, Hurricane.

Thankful Valley Farms will be giving away fresh produce every Sunday this summer from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Stokes Grocery in Buffalo.

The Hunger Fight 7 wrestling match will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Eleanor Piggly Wiggly. Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item.

There will be a six family yard sale 5.4 miles out Red House Hill inside a large barn from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Farm equipment, household items, antiques, children’s clothing, and more.
The Southeast Nazarene Church will be holding a picnic from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Ridenour Park in Nitro.
The 2nd Annual Derek Casto Memorial Putnam County Fair Open Horse Show will start at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Eleanor.
There will be a car wash and hot dog sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Advance Auto in Winfield. Proceeds go towards helping The Pulse Winfield buy a new church building.

Mountain State Art and Craft Fair will take place at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley.

There will be a 5K run/walk starting at 8 a.m. at the Buffalo Town Hall.
The Buffalo High School Football’s 4th Annual Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the high school.
The Buffalo 4th of July Parade will start at 1 p.m.
Willie D. and No Regrets will be performing at 2 p.m. at the gazebo in Buffalo.
The City of Hurricane 4th of July Parade will be held at 2 p.m. There will be activities at the Hurricane City Park from 3 to 8 p.m.

JULY 6 – 9

History Alive presents Harriet Tubman at 10 a.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. Learn firsthand about the Underground Railroad from conductor Harriet Tubman, herself an enslaved person who made an escape to freedom in 1849.

The Putnam County Fair will be held at the fairgrounds in Eleanor.
