The Cops N Rodders Classic Car Club held their first cruise-in of the year last Saturday, April 20, on the parking lot of the Putnam County Bank Loan Center in Hurricane. The cruise-in marked the beginning of the club’s 2024 season of car shows, which are held on the third Saturday of each month through October at the same location.

Approximately 65 to 70 cars rolled out to Saturday’s cruise-in. Larry Wingo, club president, said that there was a really good turn out for the first show of the year.

Lucky participants were given various awards throughout the event. The Best of Show winner was Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford with his 1957 Chevvy Bel Air station wagon.
