Ribbon Cutting for New Putnam County Bank Loan Center

The Putnam County Bank celebrated the grand opening of its new loan center with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 17. Among those attending the ribbon cutting were County Commissioner Andy Skidmore, Hurricane city officials, and members of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

After the ribbon cutting, the Chamber of Commerce hosted Business After Hours at the loan center. Bank employees gave guided tours of the building, and a large tent was set up outside where guests could enjoy catering by Fireside Grille.

Located in the recently renovated former interstate branch building, the loan center houses a large conference room, two smaller conference rooms, and nine offices. The main conference room features an enormous 16-by-9-foot table made by Eddie Austin of EA Woodworks in Hamlin. One of the smaller conference rooms is dedicated to the late Roger Randolph, former member of the Putnam County Bank board of directors and founder of Randolph Engineering. Randolph passed away on February 4, 2021. The loan center is decorated with paintings and furniture by Yeager Designs and Interiors. Historical Putnam County photographs line the halls.

Putnam County Bank would like to thank Larry Adkins, architect, with Adkins Design, Inc.; Scott Wheeler, builder, with Scott Wheeler Development; Elizabeth Yeager Cross, designer with Yeager Design & Interiors; Blind Wizard; Eddie Austin with Eddie Austin Woodworks; and Netranom for communications.
