MARY LOU BARNETTE
Mary Lou Barnette, 71, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.
Born January 26, 1950, in Richmond, VA, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Willie Barnette and was raised in the Crystal Block Hollow of Logan.
Mary LOVED THE LORD and was a member of Maranatha Fellowship where she was active with the card outreach and Lifetribe Ministries. Receiving her nursing training from West Virginia State College, her career included with Logan Park Care Nursing Home, St. Francis Hospital and Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her daughter, Ramona Mack of Winfield; sister, Lillie M. Barnette of Winfield; brothers, Charlie Richardson (Barbara) of Severn, MD, Simon Merriweather (Valerie) of Madison, AL, Donald Richardson of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews including, Stephany, Joshua and Nyliea; special friends, Brenda and Dallas Sheldon and her Lifetribe family and many other family and friends as well as her furbabies, Sam and Samson.
Funeral service was Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Maranatha Fellowship, St. Albans, with Pastor Darren Powell officiating.

KEITH E. BOWLES
Keith E. Bowles, 89, of Poca, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
Keith was a loving husband and respected father, he spent his whole life taking care of his family and providing for them. Keith was an Army Veteran, serving in the Korean war, then married the love of his life Beverley Melton Bowles and raised four children with her. He retired from Frito Lay and Mr. Bee Potato Chip Company, he enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, spending time at the beach and doing whatever activity that made his wife happy. A member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Bancroft.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Beverley Melton Bowles, mother Georgia Call, father Keyser Bowles, step mother Bertha Ellis, brothers Ray, Wesley and Ralph Bowles.
He is survived by his children, daughter Theresa Yost, husband Douglas; sons Kirk, wife Heide, Keyser, wife Sonia; daughter, Michelle Luikart, husband Denver; grandchildren Laura Rannells, Lisa Yost, Cesar Vasquez, Adam, Caleb and Noah Luikart; great-grandchildren Alex, Nicholas and Santiago Vasquez; sister Mary Lou Ward of Teays Valley and brother Philip Bowles of Tennessee.
A memorial service was held July 26, 2021, at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Bancroft with Pastor Jeff Arthur officiating.

KATHLYN DEBORD
Kathlyn “Kitty” Wallace DeBord, 77, of Winfield passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her home.
Born December 16, 1943 in Charleston a daughter of the late Rodney Boyd and Kathryn Margaret Maddy Wallace. She was also preceded in death by her baby sister.
Kitty thoroughly enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to fish and be on the water.
Surviving are her husband, Beattie Lee DeBord; her sons, Stephen Beattie DeBord (Lisa) of Winfield, Timothy Roy DeBord (Jennifer) of Red House; grandchildren, Stephen Chandler DeBord, Joshua Andrew DeBord (Baley) and Brooke Elizabeth DeBord; great-grandchildren, Willow Rae White, Remi Elizabeth Thomas; brothers, Robert Edward “Eddie” Wallace of Roanoke, VA, John Phillip “Phil” Wallace of Pasadena, MD, Stephen Rodney “Steve” Wallace (Judy) of Lewes, DE.
There will be no service at the present time.

LILLY MARIE GILLISPIE
Lilly Marie Hayes Gillispie, 93, of Fraziers Bottom, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2021 at Hospice of CAMC with her granddaughter, Tina, by her side.
She was born May 26, 1928 in Southside, Mason County, West Virginia, the third child of the late Jasper & Abigail Kinnaird Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleatis Gillispie; her children, Janet Gillispie and Shirley Ferguson and their fathe,r Melvin Gillispie, one grandchild, Tammy Ferguson; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brandy Martin; two great-great grandchildren, Kaylee Pearson and Mia Martin; seven siblings, James, William, Catherine Tackett, Betty Bayes, Maxine Putney, Marvin, and Mary Lou Wallace.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Pliny Truck Stop. She enjoyed caring for houseplants. Her porch and house were always full of them. She loved watching wrestling on TV and rarely missed a show.
She is survived by nine grandchildren, Angela Harkins (Bill Aronhalt) of Marietta, Oh, Jon (Charlene) Martin of Deerwalk, WV, Barb Martin, Donna Martin, Don (Joy) Martin, all of South Carolina, Theresa (Chris) Hutton, of Gallipolis, Ohio, Tina Nutter of Buffalo, Vicky Crouser of Fraziers Bottom, and Crissy Burks of Fraaziers Bottom; 16 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren, 6 step great-great grandchildren, 2 siblings; Garland ‘Peanut’ (Ruby) Hayes and John ‘JB’ (Dotty) Hayes of Hurricane, WV, brother-in-law; Dallas ‘Dickie’ Wallace of Hurricane, WV; several cousins, nieces & nephews.
Funeral service was Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield. Burial was in Fraziers Bottom United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fraziers Bottom.

ANNA L. KING
Anna L. Craig King, 86, of Buffalo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 19, 2021. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Buffalo. Anna was a living example of the Proverbs 31 woman. She loved her family fiercely and caring for others was as natural to her as her next breath. She was a homemaker, awesome biscuit maker and listening ear to those in need. Her strength and love will be greatly missed.
Born November 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Sarah Craig. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 67 years, James “Neely” King; brothers, Pete and Randall Craig; sister in law, Pearl Craig; son-in-law, Pastor Jim Boggess; 3 infant sons; and 3 infant grandsons.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Roy) Elliott of Vinton, Ohio, Kathy (Gary) Roush of Buffalo, Jimmy King of Buffalo, Teresa King of Villa Rica, Georgia, Bruce (Angie) King of Buffalo, and Michael King of Huntington; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Anna is also survived by her brothers, Howard “Wendell” Craig, Larry “Gene” (Stella) Craig and Keith (Linda) Craig of Carroll OH as well as many friends and extended family.
Funeral service was Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Faith Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Paul Boggess officiating. Burial was in Craig Cemetery, Grimms Landing.

JERRY E. SUMMERS
Jerry Edgar Summers, 77, of Mocksville, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on July 18, 2021 at Wytheville Community Hospital, Wytheville VA with his family at his side.
He was born to the late Lloyd E. and Eva Holley Summers on May 2, 1944. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, son, Adam Wade Summers, Brother, Harold Summers, sister-in-law, Sherry Summers, nephew, Matt Summers, and niece, Heather Rucker.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Cricket Taylor-Summers of Mocksville NC, his children, Daniel Summers (Kathi) of Middletown OH, Stacie Ferrell of South Charleston WV, Tina Bledsoe (Larry) of Barboursville, and Brian Taylor (Marissa) of Hurricane, brothers, Keith Summers of Mocksville NC, Lealon Summers (Jackie) Benjamin Summers (Molly), and sister-in-law, Vicki Summers, all of Nitro, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Jerry was Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with his nephew, Timmy Summers officiating. Burial was in Taylor Family Cemetery, Peach Ridge Road, Hurricane.
