Lower Coach Road Residence Sustains Major Fire Damage

Hurricane Fire & Rescue, along with Teays Valley Fire Department and Culloden VFD, responded to a structure fire at the Kevin Bailey residence on 10 Lower Coach Road off of US Route 60 in Hurricane on Friday, August 13. The first units to arrive found the 2-story, single family dwelling engaged in heavy fire on the first floor.

Firefighters were able to attack the fire from inside the home and confine the blaze to the area involved. The remainder of the house sustained considerable smoke and water damage. Winfield VFD also assisted on the scene.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire. It is suspected that lightning may have cause the blaze.
