RONDA BENNETT
Ronda K. Bennett, 55, of Buffalo, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Hubbard Hospice House.
Ronda was preceded in death by her mother Linda Myers.
She is survived by her father Ron (Jeannie) Bennett, brother Jeremy (Mary Beth) Bennett, step sisters Amy McCray and Cristy (Scott) Harrison, aunt Dian Gibson, uncles Harold (Sue) Bennett, Bob Bennett, Kevin Sergent and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronda graduated from Winfield High School and worked at the Hurricane McDonalds for 14 years. Many thanks to Cindy Barnette and her staff for their excellent care and support during her illness.
There will be a private family service and burial.

CARL COCHRAN
Carl A. “Quick Carl” Cochran, 57, of Poca, passed away August 13, 2021.
He is survived by his parents Carl and Lola Cochran; siblings Jimmy (Pam) Cochran, Ray (Chris) Cochran, Sissy (Gary) Hayes and Bonny (Kevin) Parsons; close friends Roger Parker and John Corey and a host of nieces and nephews.
At his request there will be no services.
LOLA M. COCHRAN
Lola M. Cochran, 76, of Poca, passed away August 14, 2021, in the Hubbard Hospice House West. Mrs. Cochran is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gathie Thomas; brother Richard Thomas; sister Gladys Riffle and son Carl A. Cochran. She is survived by her husband Carl G. Cochran; children Jimmy (Pam) Cochran, Ray (Chris) Cochran, Sissy (Gary) Hayes and Bonny (Kevin) Parsons; sister Rosie James; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
At her request there will be no services.

CONNIE HENRY
Connie F. Sowards Henry, 58, of Hurricane, passed away August 11, 2021, at home. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Frances Sowards and Homer Sowards, her son Brian Tucker and brothers Curtis Sowards and Pete Kerns.
She is survived by her children Troy (Megan) Tucker, Kristy Smith, grandchildren Katelynn Smith, Tristan Tucker, Mason Tucker, sister Joyce Boggess, brother Ricky Sowards and a host of family and friends.
Connie enjoyed spending time with family and throwing a line in the water.

DENVILLE E. MEADOWS
Denville Eugene Meadows, 75, of Hurricane, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
Denville is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Mary, sisters, Francis and Faye, and brother, Eddie.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Meadows; son, David Meadows; granddaughters, Hannah White (Christopher), Haylee Meadows (Oliver); grandsons, Andrew Barnett and Tyler Barnett; and great-grandchildren, Grayson White, Addisyn Barnett, and Niko Lopez. Also surviving is his brother, Earl, and sister, Patty, sister-in-law, Linda Holley (Lon), and nieces Connie Smith, Barbara Comstock, and Lisa Elkins.
Denville was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #68 A.F. & A.M., Milton, formerly of Putnam Lodge #139 A.F. & A.M., Hurricane. He loved all of his family dearly. He enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his whole world.
Funeral service for Denville was Monday, August 16, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane. A private burial with Masonic Rites will conducted at Peach Ridge Cemetery, Hurricane, at a later time.

MAX MIDKIFF
Max Martin Midkiff, 75, of Hurricane, passed away peacefully at home. He was born on July 31, 1946, in Huntington, WV, and was a son to the late Paul Midkiff and Pearl Osborne Midkiff. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Dreama Midkiff, Vicki Ann Midkiff, William Mark Midkiff, and Richard Midkiff. Max is survived by 4 sisters, Linda Weaver, Milena Moon, Marsha Midkiff, and Firelei Parks (Dan). He will also be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children and their significant others, Max Midkiff II (Julie), Meagan MacQueen (Drew), MacKenzi Midkiff (David), Ryan Midkiff, and Cord Midkiff, stepson Chase Lantz (Blaine), as well as 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Max was a very intelligent man. He was an avid reader with a curious mind who considered himself “a jack of all trades, master of none.” He had many achievements that he reached by taking the reins on his life and chasing his passions head on. Max was a nonconformist who strongly believed in doing the things that make you happy.
The family will be holding a private service to honor and celebrate Max’s life.

AMANDA SILVERMAN
Amanda Marie Silverman, 41, of Huntington, passed away of a short illness on August 10, 2021. She was a graduate of Buffalo High School and NIT with a degree in Computer Science. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Janet Koon.
She is survived by her husband John Silverman and her children, Madison Smith, Brooke Silverman and David Silverman and brother, Jeff Koon.
A private funeral service was held.

NANCY J. SMITH
Nancy J. Smith, 69, of Hometown, passed away August 15, 2021, at home.
Nancy is a former employee of Rite Aid Distribution Center and enjoyed being a homemaker taking care of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Marie Carter; aunts Patty Kirkpatrick, Dorothy Johnson and Nancy Myers and uncles Ronald J. Tribble and David Tribble.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Uncle Ura Smith; daughters Angela and husband Floyd Rhodes, Jr. and Janet and husband Michael Tucker; uncle Gary Tribble; aunts Betty Dodd and Virginia Tillis and grandchildren Jacob Rhodes, Courtney and husband Michael Parsons, Emily Tucker and Sarah Tucker.
A tribute to the life of Mrs. Nancy Smith was held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Arthur officiating. Entombment was in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
