TIMOTHY BOGGESS
Timothy Boggess, 65, of Red House, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021.
Tim was a long time Bayer Crop Science employee and retired after 33 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents Boyd and Williadean Boggess and son T.C. Boggess. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Boggess and brothers Bobby and Larry Boggess.
Visitation was Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home.

ALTON RAYMOND FAULKNER
Alton Raymond Faulkner passed away November 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital Huntington. He was 81 years old. He was born April 23, 1940 in Hurricane. He was proceded in death by his father and mother, Herman and Hazel (Chapman) Faulkner, his brothers Gene Faulkner, Dale (Mary Jane) Faulkner and a sister Ruth Ellen (Faulkner) (Breck) Brown.
He left behind his wife of 59 years, Cinderella (Powell) Faulkner; two daughters, Cynthia (Robbie) Allison, Annette (Priscilla) May; a very special son, Bobby (Sue) Smith. Mark (Rose) Smith; one brother Wendale (Mary) Faulkner; 9 grandkids Ceirra (Jack) (Allison) Clay, Kyle Chapman, Macheala Chapman, Drew Allison (Trinity Holtz), Kasen Chapman, Chloe Holland – May (Andrew Hanshaw), Hunter Holland, Olivia Holland – May and Wyatt May; 4 great grandkids Paul Jeffery Gallaspie, Kaylee Lambert, Beau Lambert, and Kash Chapman. Very special friends John and Diane Taylor. Many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
He was a butcher for over 50 years. He loved hunting and fishing in his younger years then he devoted his life to providing for his family which he loved very much.
Funeral was at Allen Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Cemetery.

ANNA MAE GRANT
Anna Mae Legge Grant, 86, formerly of Westerville OH, went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2021.
Anna was born June 21, 1935 in Huntington to Ernest R. and Mercedes Adkins Legge who preceded her. Anna was also preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Grant Sr., brothers Fred Legge, Leon Legge and Patricia Legge Harper. Survived by daughter, Anna L. (Gary) Rodgers of Sunbury, son Donald Jr. (April) of Columbus OH, Sister-in-law Bonnie (Judd) Beaver, Culloden, Sue (Gary) Carroll, Hurricane, and Brother-in-law Denver Grant, Hurricane, Sister-in-law Gini Legge Port Orange FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was a member of Central College Presbyterian Church where she was a member of Ruth Circle and The Friends Committee. She loved to work outside in her yard and with her many flowers. She also loved music and karaoke and she could often be seen and heard at Rick and Patty’s Karaoke.
Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11am until the time of service at 12:30pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Burial will be at Blendon Central Cemetery.

CHARLES E. JEFFERS SR.
Charles E. Jeffers Sr., 77, of Leon, passed away Saturday November 27, 2021.
Born May 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Charles L. Jeffers and Ethel I. Jeffers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Loleida G. Jeffers; sister, Ruth Jeffers; brothers, Bill Jeffers, George Jeffers and Buck Jeffers.
Survivors include his sons, Charles E. (Robin) Jeffers Jr. of Leon, Shannon (Jeanette) Jeffers of Eleanor, Chris L. (Cindy) Jeffers of Leon; sister, Donna “Babe” Bailes of Pt. Pleasant; brothers, Everette “Pete” (Janet) Jeffers of Middleport OH, Tom (Betty) Jeffers, Paul Ray (Paula) Jeffers of Leon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with Pastor Carl Bailes and Rev. Randy Parsons officiating. Burial was in Jeffers Family Cemetery.

BELINDA “JACKIE” LIVELY
Belinda S. “Jackie” Lively, 65, of Hurricane, passed away on November 25, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington.
Jackie was a daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley Ann Heib Lively. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Josh Oldaker.
She is survived by her children, Joseph E. Oldaker and Amanda Rice, special nephew and caregiver, Tim Cobb, and several siblings, as well as several other family members and friends.
In accordance with Jackie’s wishes, she was cremated. There will be no services at this time.

SHEILA MARGOLIS
Sheila Lynn Margolis, 73, of Hurricane, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at CAMC Memorial Hospice House after a short battel with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Honaker of St. Albans, Mother Ramona Honaker of Fayetteville and daughter Tamra Hall of Hurricane.
She was retired with 38 years service from Verizon as a directory assistance supervisor. She loved to read, work in her flowers and enjoyed the outdoors and her special dog Reese.
She is survived by her husband Robin J. Margolis of Hurricane, son, Travis Hall of Huntington, sister, Valerie Tabit (Paul) of St. Albans, brothers, Jim Honaker (Robin) of Hurricane and Rick Honaker (Patricia) of Daytona Beach, Fl, special granddaughter, Emily Hall of Winfield, and grandchildren Gracie Miller, Colton Miller, of and Tyler Miller all of Alum Creek
Funeral service was Monday, November 29, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Losh officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

MANUEL LEE MARSHALL
Manuel Lee Marshall, 66, of Buffalo, passed away Saturday November 20, 2021 at CAMC Memorial following a short illness. He was a longtime mechanic and also worked in the construction field for several years.
Born May 7, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan, he was the son of the late Vernon Franklin Marshall and Olesta Carroline Marshall. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James F. Marshall.
Survivors include his brothers, Michael (Robin) Marshall and Chuck (Vonna) Marshall; sisters, Crystal (Andrew) Beller and Terry (Fred) McClannahan; 8 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews. Lee is also survived by a host of extended family and many friends.
There are no services planned at this time.

MICHAEL MOLES
Michael Allen Moles, 36, of Scott Depot, passed away November 22, 2021.
Michael is a 2006 graduate of Winfield High School and participated in Special Olympics Bowling, Basketball and Track. He is a member of Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church and loved music and bling.
He is preceded in death by his father Steve Webb and grandparents Bob Starkey, Audrey Webb and Jack Webb.
Michael is survived by his mother, Becky Webb; grandmother Darlene Starkey and biological dad Clinton Moles. He also leaves behind his aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Even in his death Michael continues to help others by being an organ donor. He is our hero with wings.
A tribute to the life of Michael was held Monday, November 29, 2021, at Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor George Webb officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

HELEN SMITH
Helen Smith, 84, of Hurricane, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Elmcroft of Teays Valley. Helen loved to travel, work, and be with family. Helen always loved life and lived each day to the fullest. When she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, she refused to let it define her. Every day was a new day, with new challenges that she courageously faced. Because of Helen’s great love for people, she never met a stranger and that never changed. At Elmcroft in the Memory Care unit where she lived, you could always find her helping the other residents with day to day tasks, telling her stories to anyone who would listen, and helping the staff with whatever she could. She was that person who made a bad day better just by being her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Smith, parents, brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her children Ron (Michelle), Stan (Ida), Tony (Jaeda), and Pam (Tony), 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister Shirley Bush (Junior) of Dayton, Ohio, many nieces, nephews, and life long friends. She is also survived by her adopted friends at Elmcroft that became family.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery

MARY ANN STROPE
Mary Ann (Murray) Strope, 79, of Winfield, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington.
She was the daughter of the late Elwood C. and Margaret H. (Card) Murray Sabetto. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Fred Murray.
Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eleanor.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John S. Strope; her children: Tonnie Bowman (Gary) of Columbus OH, Shelly Weeks (Blayne) of Fishersville VA, Mike Strope (Christina) of Red House, and Sandra White (Michael) of Eleanor; grandchildren: Jessica, Derrick, Kristin, Leah, Mya, Jenna, Steven and Kyle; and a great grandson: Calvin.
A Memorial Service for Mary Ann will be 4:00pm Saturday December 4, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Eleanor, 901 Roosevelt Blvd., Eleanor, with Pastor Greg Johnson officiating.

JOHN THOMAS WHITE
John Thomas White, 56 years old of Hurricane, West Virginia, Significant other of Kathy Potts, died at home on November 29, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Edna White. Along with Kathy he is survived by his brothers James E. White and Robert A White and sisters Linda K Donegan, Patricia A White, Sandra L. Underwood and Pamela S. Shelton, 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews, 4 stepchildren, 16 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
His wishes were to be cremated and no services be held.
