Members of the Hurricane Middle School Boys Cross Country team were presented certificates of recognition at the December 6 Hurricane City Council meeting. The team was MVAC Champions and undefeated in both team and individual competitions in West Virginia. The team placed third in a multi-state meet featuring the best teams in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

Members of the team are Landon Kennedy, Evan Mann, Larry Hodges, Owen Good, Brayden Reese, Carson Bailey, Ryan Bowman, Ian Martin, Tate Kelly, Bronson Escue, Brady Good, Tyler Baxter, Connor Poling, Andrew Petry, Braylan Hutchinson, Ethan Phillips, Luke Sergent, Zach Hodges, Stephen Parker, Graham Whiting, Paxton Haddox, Alex Sanders and Gabriel High.
