Getting Ready For Easter

There is nothing that says spring like cheerful decorations featuring flowers and bunnies. On Friday, March 18, the So-Kai Clubhouse hosted an Easter craft workshop in the Putnam County Commons at Valley Park, allowing participants to choose from a variety of colorful spring crafts. Projects included bunny vine wreaths, round wreaths, decorative mirrors, flower and egg centerpieces, and bunny and cross plaques.

The workshop was led by Alisha Dumrongkietiman, the founder of So-Kai. “I always have too many options to choose from,” she says. “It gives people variety.”

While So-Kai Clubhouse offers weekly children’s craft classes and playdates. There are also monthly craft classes for adult women. April’s theme will feature beach and bee-themed crafts for summer.

After being laid off from her job in 2010, Dumrongkietiman became involved with Kindermusik International, an early childhood education program which incorporates music and movement in its curriculum. As she hosted these classes, she noticed a trend of loneliness among the parents, and she wanted to fill the need to socialize and meet others for both children and adults.

The So-Kai Clubhouse offers weekly Kindermusik classes for children ages 0-7; Messy Masterpieces and Kidz Art classes; themed craft classes and playdates; and monthly classes for adult women.
