The new Dollar Tree in Hurricane flanked by by city officials conducted its Grand Opening ribbon cutting at 9:00 a.m.

Once the severed ribbon floated to the ground, waiting customers eagerly flooded into largest Dollar Tree store this side of Barboursville. The store is largest in both Putnam and Kanawha.

Dollar Tree District Manager Lynn McKnight stated that Dollar Tree has been opening larger and larger stores and is currently expanding an existing store in Ohio.

The small crowd grew and the parking lot filled and remained full throughout the day.

One local shopper reported that she was not able to find a place to park.

The Breeze staff observed that parking spaces were few and far between on both Saturday and Sunday.
