West Virginia Food Truck Festival Returns to Eleanor

The West Virginia Food Truck Festival returned to the Putnam County Fairgrounds in Eleanor this past Saturday, April 23. The festival featured fourteen different food trucks from all over the state, with one coming as far away as Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Awards were given to the food trucks that won the love of festivalgoers through their stomachs. Jimmy Krack Korn of Red House won Best Appetizer; Kevin & Cathleen’s Snack Shack of Hamlin won Best Dessert; Southside Sliders of Huntington won Best Entree; Shape Shop Cafe of Charleston won Organizer’s Choice; and Gritt’s Farm of Buffalo won Best Overall.

The Jason Mays Band, Holley Forbes, Kate Boytek, and other local groups provided musical entertainment for the day.

The festival also featured a cornhole tournament with prizes for first through third places.

All proceeds and donations to the event went to the Branches Domestic Violence Shelter.

This is the fourth year that the West Virginia Food Truck Festival has been held in Putnam County.
