In 1994, the Centennial Committee published a follow up book which included family histories which were not submitted in time for the 1988 Centennial History. This week’s selection is the 10th history from The Centennial History of Hurricane WV Continued — 1994.

THOMAS S. EDWARDS

Thomas S. Edwards was born August 11, 1891 and died April 17, 1963. He was a son of George and Elizabeth “Betty” Carpenter Edwards.

Thomas was a farmer and molasses maker. He was once featured in Adrian Gwin’s, Roving The Valley column, showing how molasses was made.

Bertha Mae Johnson Edwards was born October 1, 1895 and died March 18, 1979. She was a daughter of Charlie and Ellen Grass Johnson.
