The Putnam County Fire Board hosted the inaugural Putnam County First Responder Appreciation Day on September 10 at the FMC Sportsman Club in Winfield. The event was for all first responders and their families in Putnam County. There was food, games, prizes, and giveaways.

Mr. Osh Assi, owner of Fairways Bar & Grill in Hurricane, donated delicious Cajun Chicken Pasta, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Hamburgers and Salad for the event. McDonald’s donated buns, Tudors donated lettuce, tomato, Onion and paper products. The Hurricane Masonic Lodge came and grilled the hamburgers for the event.

Local businesses donated countless gift cards and prizes for our responders.
