Community Calendar for Week of March 16

SATURDAYS THROUGH MARCH
There will be a free open gym for 1st through 5th graders from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at ZoneOut Sports, Morris Court, Hurricane.

MARCH 16 – 18
Buffalo Church of the Nazarene, 25053 Buffalo Road, will be hosting Adult Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

MARCH 17 – 19
One Accord Independent Baptist Church, 35 Obadiah Lane, Scott Depot, will be holding a revival at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.

MARCH 17
Bancroft Mission, 5936 Charleston Road, will be hosting an evenign of praise and thanksgiving at 6:30 p.m.
The Hometown Senior Center, 40 1st Avenue N, Hometown, will be holding a St. Patricks Day party from 10 a.m. to noon.
Christ Community Church, 733 Rocky Step Road, Scott Depot, will be hosting a parents’ night out from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Parents can drop their children off for a night of snacks, crafts, and fun.
Southridge will be performing from 7 to 10 p.m. at Barnyard BBQ, Hospital Drive, Hurricane.
Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Toast! at 8 a.m. at Area 34, 971 Route 34, Teays Valley.
Another Fistful of Bullets Murder Mystery & Dinner will be held at 7 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. The cost is $45 per ticket. For more information, call 304-562-0518.

MARCH 18
The 38th Annual Charleston Hamfest and Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) Convention will be held at the Beni Kedem Temple, 100 Quarrier Street, Charleston, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be a bean and cornbread dinner from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Eleanor Fire Department. The cost is $8 per person. Proceeds go towards the Trailblazers 4-H club.
Yeager Design and Interiors, 168 Great Teays Boulevard, Scott Depot, will be hosting a spring pop up event starting at 10 a.m.
Firebreather Fitness, 212 Carrier Way, Scott Depot, will be offering a Women’s Self Defense Clinic starting at noon. For more information and to register, call (681) 945-0002.
Van Man Discs will be hosting disc golf at Valley Park in Hurricane from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

MARCH 19
GloryWay will be in concert at 6 p.m. at West Virginia Home Mission Church, 1128 Benamati Avenue, Nitro.
Come walk the dogs at the Putnam County Animal Shelter from 2 to 4 p.m.
Board With Life will be hosting Third Sunday Board Games from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Board Room, 270 Progress Way, Hurricane.

MARCH 20, 27, APRIL 6
There will be photography classes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane. The cost is $80. To register, call 304-562-0518.

Can You Outsmart the Librarians? Trivia Night will be held at 6 p.m. at the Eleanor Library.

MARCH 25
The Hurricane High School Cheer Spring Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the old Big Bear building in Liberty Square in Teays Valley.
Calvary Baptist Church, 3653 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be holding a food pantry at 8:30 a.m.

MARCH 26
Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church, Putnam Avenue, Hurricane, will be holding a family movie night starting at 5 p.m. The movie will be Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe.

MARCH 27
Facing Hunger Foodbank will be holding a mobile food pantry from 11 a.m. to noon at the Buffalo United Methodist Church, 27 High Street, Buffalo.

MARCH 28
The Pulse Church, 5368 State Route 34, Winfield, will be holding a food pantry from 2 to 6 p.m.
