• The Nitro Catfish Tournament will start at 4:30 p.m. at the Ridenour Lake gazebo. Fishing goes from 6 to 1 p.m. The entry fee is $15 per person.
• Little Listeners, a children’s event with storytime, crafts, and fun, will be held at 10 a.m. at Coffee With A Twist, 101 Main Avenue, Nitro.
• There will be a hiring event hosted by Express Employment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Diamond Electric, 159 Eleanor Industrial Park Drive, Eleanor.
• Outlaws Revenge will be performing classic rock & roll from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fireside Grille in Teays Valley.
• Fitness Friday: Walk the Meeks Mountain Trails with the Putnam County Library. Meet up at the steps at the back of the Hurricane City Park at 10 a.m.
• Waves of Fun at Valley Park will be hosting Summerween Movie Night, featuring “Halloween.” Doors open at 8 p.m.; movie starts at 9 p.m. Age 16 and up. Entry fee is $10, includes tube.

• Red House Area Wide Clean Up: The Putnam County Solid Waste Authority will have a truck at the Moutain State Waste location at 1647 McLane Pike, Red House, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
