SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER 28
The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon/Arby’s on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

MAY 26 – 28

MAY 26 – 27
There will be a spring/summer community clothing drive on Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Route 60, Milton.

MAY 26
Creekside Church, 488 Charleys Creek Road, Culloden, will be offering a free movie night starting at 6:40 p.m. The movie will be “Finding Nemo.”

MAY 27
Johnny Compton will be performing from 8 to 11 p.m. at Railways Bar and Grill in Buffalo.
The Kanawha River Bass Tournaments will be held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet at the Nitro Boat Ramp. For more information, check out Kanawha River Bass Tournaments on Facebook.
The Nitro Athletic Complex Pool will celebrate its opening day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Free cheeseburgers from noon to 4 p.m. The Esquires will perform at 7 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Lee’s Sudio of Dance, 8325 Winfield Road, Winfield, will be offering drop-in classes: 9-10 a.m. – contemporary dance; 10-11 a.m. – hip hop; 11 a.m. – noon – jazz funk; and noon – 1 p.m. – musical theatre. The cost is $15 for one class or $50 for all four. To register, call 304-437-2860.

Putnam Provisions/Drip Coffee, 971 WV Route 34, Teays Valley, will be holding Coffee and Cars from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The WV Cupcake Festival Pre-Teen-Mrs Pageant will start at 6:30 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
There will be an electronics recycling event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hurricane High School.

MAY 28
The congregation of Buffalo United Methodist Church, located in the Buffalo Historic Square, invites you to join them for a special Pentecost Sunday Dinner beginning at 12:15.
The 2nd Annual Buffalo Praise Fest will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Gazebo.

MAY 29
The American Legion Post 187 will be having a Memorial Day ceremony at the Winfield war memorial at 10 a.m., and the Valley View Cemetery in Hurricane at 11:45 a.m.
There will be a Memorial Day Zumba class at Power Up Sports & Wellness, 3540 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, starting at 9:15 a.m. The cost is $8.

MAY 30
Camp Appalachia, Fletcher Road, Scott Depot, will be holding their summer open house from 6 to 8 p.m.

There will be an end of school party from 12:30 to 8 p.m. at the Elanor Pool, featuring music and entertainment. Admission is $3 all day.

MONDAYS IN JUNE AND JULY
Food trucks will be coming to Hurricane’s Main Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

JUNE 1
The Eleanor Pool opens for the season. Hours are 12:30 to 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and up. Under 5 get in free.

JUNE 2
The Nitro Antique Car Club will be hosting a cruise-in starting at 5 p.m. at the Living Memorial Park, 21st Street and 2nd Avenue, Nitro.
Fitness Friday: There will be a hike at 10 a.m. at the Norman & Esther Walter Nature Park at 75 Wilkie Road, Red House Hill.
Business Before Breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Wingate by Wyndham hotel in Hurricane.

JUNE 3 – 4
The Putnam County Gun Club Junior Small Bore Rifle Camp for ages 10-20 will be held at the Putnam County Gun Range at the Eleanor Park.

T & R Express will be performing at Railways Bar and Grill, 17426 Charleston Road, Buffalo, from 8 to 11 p.m.
The Bancroft Town-Wide Yard Sales will start at 8 a.m. and will be held throughout the town.
The Cpl. Fulks Memorial 5K and 10K will be held at Hurricane City Park starting at 8:45 a.m.
