Community Calendar for Week of June 15

SATURDAYS THROUGH OCTOBER 28
The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field beside Exxon/Arby’s on Route 34 in Teays Valley.

MONDAYS IN JUNE AND JULY
Food trucks will be coming to Hurricane’s Main Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TUESDAYS THROUGH AUGUST 29
Community Autism Resources & Education Systems- CARES will be holding a summer meet up from 10 a.m. to noon at Valley Park in Hurricane.

JUNE 16 – 18
The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca, will be holding a Bible Conference featuring Shane Willard Ministries, at 7 p.m. nightly.

Fitness Friday: Mindfulness Walk at the Putnam County Fairgrounds will start at 10 a.m. at the Eleanor pool parking lot.
Game Grove, 495 Putnam Village Drive, will be holding a pre-release event for Magic the Gathering: Lord of the Rings starting at 7 p.m.
The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their monthly networking meet-up at 8 a.m. at Area 34, 971 WV Route 34, Teays Valley.
The Board Room in Hurricane (behind Walmart) will be hosting Magic the Gathering: Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth Prerelease at 6:30 p.m.

Estate sale items will be free for pick up at 1049 Second Street, Milton.

Road Riders for Jesus Chapter #23 will be holding a drive-in prayer stop from 9 a.m. to noon at Twin City Bible Church, 100 1st Avenue S., Nitro. Stay in your car and they will pray with you.
The Foam Garage will be coming to the Putnam County Animal Shelter, 12908 Charleston Road, Red House, for an adoption event from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Castleknock Subdivision Community Yard Sale in Winfield will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Buffalo Church of the Nazarene will be holding Family Feud Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly.
Hometown Apostolic Church will be hosting Stellar Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly.

The 2023 Putnam Chamber Annual Golf Tournament will start at 9 a.m. at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club in Hurricane.

Bright Star Theatre presents: Operation Kindness at Valley Park in Hurricane. This quirky and cute 2-person play will start at 10 a.m. at the large shelter by the pond.

There will be a joint networking event with Counsel Connections, Huntington Young Professionals, and Putnam CREW at Fireside Grille in Teays Valley from 5 to 8 p.m.

Writing & Publishing: A Life! author Meet & Greet with Cat Pleska will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Eleanor Library.
There will be a Stuffed Animal Sleepover for children at the Putnam County Library starting at 6 p.m.

There will be a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. for Coop Network Co Workspace, 2701 Main Street, Hurricane.

The Nitro Antique Car Club will be hosting a car show at Barber Agee Church on Rocky Fork from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
