The annual Hurricane 4th of July hot dog eating contest produced three winners with James Minx taking Grand Champion honors and $500 in prize money. Minx consumed 12 hot dogs and buns in ten minutes.

Chase Cumpton took 1st Runner Up honors and a $200 check. 2nd Runner Up Austin Wine was awarded 3rd place money of $100 after finishing off a tie-breaking wiener and bun before two other contestants.
