Pictured is a bald eagle which dropped by Hurricane High School on the the very first day of the 2023-2024 school year.

Eagles are noted for their extraordinary vision. They can spy a rabbit from up to 2 miles away, and follow the movements of mice while flying at a height of 650 feet. That said, this bird came right down to ground to get a close look at the goings-on at the school.
