Hurricane High Senior Recipient of $20,000 Coca-Cola Scholarship

Over 103,800 applications were submitted, 1,514 semifinalists were selected to submit extensive applications and essays, and 250 regional finalists were chosen to interview Coca-Cola Foundation staff members and previous Coke Scholars Program scholarship recipients. Paisley Tabor was honored as 1 of 150 winners named 2024 Coca-Cola Scholars and will receive a $20,000 college scholarship. The Hurricane High School senior is the only 2024 Coca-Cola Scholar in West Virginia.

Paisley was hailed a game changer – a force for positive change in our community and for good in the world. She will join the Coke Scholars network at Scholars Weekend April 25-28, 2024, in Atlanta, GA, where she will be celebrated at the Coca-Cola Scholars Banquet, followed by a weekend with their Leadership Development Institute, a leadership experience unlike any other. Scholars Weekend will also include tours of local landmarks in Atlanta, networking with alumni and staff, and a group community service project.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 2024 class, CCSF will have provided more than 6,900 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $84 million in scholarships over the course of 36 years.

In addition to receiving college scholarships, students selected will be welcomed into a vibrant and growing Coke Scholars family that has become a powerful force for positive change in the world. Through networking, collaborations, and friendships, the group strives to make a greater impact together. Initiatives include a podcast called The SIP and the eighth year of a coaching program that partners seasoned Scholars with first-year Scholars as they transition to college. Every 5 years, all alumni are invited to a Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Summit.
