NOW – MARCH 29
Mt. Union Church, 19268 Jerry’s Run Road, Pliny, will be holding Holy Week Services at 7 p.m. nightly.

MARCH 28
The Nitro Church of the Nazarene, 1400 Sattes Circle, Nitro, will be hosting a Passover Seder at 7 p.m. Participants will be escorted in groups of 12 to experience a reenactment of the Last Supper.

MARCH 29 – 31
The Bridge Church, 279 Dairy Road, Poca, will be holding Easter Unity Weekend. Good Friday Communion Service at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday community event 1 to 5 p.m.; Sunday morning services at 10:45 a.m.

MARCH 29 – 30
HerdCon, Marshall University’s annual pop culture convention, will be held at the Memorial Student Center, 1 Marshall Drive, Huntington. Vendors, cosplay, gaming, and more. Doors open at 10 a.m. Free admission. For more information, go to https://www.marshall.edu/herdcon/

Red House Bible Church, 51 Warner Lane, Red House, will be presenting “Journey to the Cross” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Putnam County Main Library in Teays Valley presents Flu Fighters, an interactive game about germ warfare, at 10 a.m.

MARCH 30
There will be a Vietnam Veterans Day event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Living Memorial Park in Nitro.
The Easter Bunny will be at Sugar Shenanigans candy shop, 722 First Avenue South, Suite A, Nitro, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Rock Branch Independent Church, 417 Woodland Drive, Nitro, will be holding their annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m.
Andrew Adkins will be performing from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bake My Day, 14 Bank Street, Nitro.
Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 701 Maccorkle Avenue SW, St. Albans, will be holding their Once Upon a Tree Easter musical starting at 7 p.m.

The Town of Eleanor will be hosting a pancake breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eleanor Fire Department and an Easter egg hunt at noon at the Eleanor Park.
Freedom’s Promise Ministries, 19966 Winfield Road, Fraziers Bottom, will be holding their annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m.
The Pulse Church of Winfield will be holding an Easter egg hunt from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Winfield Riding Club.
Judson Baptist Church, 72 Addington Place, Winfield, will be holding an Easter egg hunt from 1 to 3 p.m.
Van Man Disc Golf will be at Valley Park in Hurricane from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Great Easter Egg Hunt and Fudge Off will be held from 11 a.m. to p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
The Board Room in Hurricane (behind Walmart) will be hosting an After Dark gaming event from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $10.

MARCH 31
Otter Branch Church, 2402 18 Mile Creek Road, Buffalo, will be holding an outdoor Easter sunrise service starting at 7 a.m. There will also be Sunday school at 10 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m.
Kingdom Life Fellowship Church, 405 1st Avenue S, Nitro, will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Hometown Apostolic Church, 47 2nd Avenue S, Hometown, will be holding Easter services at 11 a.m.
The Winfield United Methodist Church, 20 Radwin Drive, Winfield, will be holding an Easter Sunday sunrise service at 7 a.m. and a cantata worship service starting at 9:30 a.m.
The Pulse Church, 5368 Route 34, Winfield, will be holding Easter services starting at 10:30 a.m.
Creekside Church, 488 Charleys Creek Road, Culloden, will be holding their Easter celebration starting at 11 a.m.
First Baptist Church of Hurricane, 2635 Main Street, Hurricane, will be holding traditional Easter services at 8:50 a.m. and contemporary services at 11 a.m.

APRIL 2
Community Autism Resources & Education Systems CARES) will be celebrating World Autism Awareness Day with a Ready, Set, Glow party from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

APRIL 4
The Town of Eleanor’s event planning committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Homestead Room of the Eleanor town hall.

APRIL 5
Meet county, state, and national candidates running for local offices in the May primary from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hometown Senior Center, 40 1st Avenue North, Hometown.

APRIL 6
Hurricane VFW 9097, 3836 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be hosting a 1920’s themed New Beers Eve Roaring Decade party starting at 8 a.m.
Famous 5K – Run for the Rings, a fundraiser for cheerleading, will start at 8 a.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.
The Broad Room, located behind the Hurricane Walmart, will be holding a comic trade day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Putnam County Republican Women will be holding a meet the candidates ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

APRIL 7
The Nitro High School Show Cats, Tomcats, and Sophisticats Dinner Theater will be held at the school. First setting – doors open at 12:30; dinner at 1p.m. Second seating – doors open at 3:30; dinner at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door.
Word of Light Community Church, 2276 US Highway 60, Culloden, will be holding an egg hunt at noon.
