• The Putnam County Farmers Market will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the field next to Exxon on Route 34, Teays Valley.
• The Country Roads Farmers’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valley Park in Hurricane.

• Learn how to make your own stationary paper from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Poca Library.

The Vandalia Gathering festival of traditional Appalachian music, dance, and crafts will be held at the Capitol Complex in Charleston.

• The Nitro Pool, located at 1650 Park Avenue, will be holding a kickoff party from 5 to 9 p.m. Free admission.
• There will be a ribbon cutting an open house for Prestige Primary Care Associates, 3703 Teays Valley Road Unit B, Hurricane, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

MAY 25 – 27

• The Eleanor Pool will be open for Memorial Day weekend. The pool will officially open for the season on June 1.
• Waves of Fun in Valley Park, Hurricane, will be open for Memorial Day weekend.

MAY 25

• Bright Futures/McCoy Academy, 3361 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will be hosting a fundraiser yard sale and market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• The Sprayground at Hurricane City Park will be opening for the season. Hours are Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
• Community Church, 212 Dudding Avenue, Hurricane, will be holding a hot dog and yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Jeepers Invade Hurricane from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Putnam County Bank loan office parking lot (behind McDonalds). Vendors, games, awards.

• The Buffalo PraiseFest will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Buffalo gazebo. The performers will be The Townesmen, Sons of Liberty, and Inheritance

MAY 27

• ShotFire Fitness, 1165 Midland Trail, Hurricane, will be holding the Murph Fitness Challenge starting at 9 a.m.
• There will be a Memorial Day Zumba class at 9:15 a.m. at Power Up Sports and Wellness, 3540 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. The cost is $8 at the door.

• There will be a ribbon cutting and open house at Headlines Salon and Spa, 3657 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, from 11 a.m. to noon.

• 304Catfishing will be hosting their second tournament of the season. Registration starts at 4 p.m. at the Nitro Boat Ramp.
• My Little Sunshine Boutique and Beauty, 420 1st Avenue South, Nitro, will be holding a summer vendor market from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• There will be a macaroon making party and fundraiser for the Samuel Family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bake My Day, 14 Bank Street, Nitro.
• The Poca River Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Club, 789 Dupont Road, Poca, will be holding a new member fun day starting at 10 a.m. The non-member fee will be $6 per guest.
