Old Time Power on Display at Farm Museum Antique Tractor Pull

Dave Wilcox of Rutland, Ohio, pulled a 5,000-lb. weight a distance of 208 feet at the tractor pull.

The West Virginia Farm Museum in Point Pleasant held an antique tractor pull last Saturday, June 1. The pull featured a variety of antique tractors in action. To be considered an antique, a tractor must be from 1959 or earlier.

Upcoming events at the West Virginia Farm Museum include a double elimination bracket pull this coming Saturday, June 8. This will be the first time that the museum has hosted such an event. The pull is for tractors of the 5,250-lb class, and features payouts of $200 for third place, $300 for second place, and $500 for first place. The event starts at 11 a.m., and there will be a rain date of July 13.

There will be another antique tractor pull on July 6 at 1 p.m., and a tractor parade and show on July 27. The tractor parade, which starts at noon, will travel seventeen miles around the Point Pleasant area.
